Life series fanart recs

Last day but I still have time for my recs for this month. I signed up to rec Life Series SMP for fanart_recs this month - of course I waited until the last week to rec anything but that still counts - so I will just re-use those, plus extras.

Why I love it: This piece shows the scene from Limited Life where Etho dramatically killed Joel, and above that the memory of when they were soulmates in Double Life and burned to death together. I love the composition and the stark contrast in color, position and expressions.

Why I like it: This is a series of nine wonderful pieces about the Southlands alliance from Last Life: first a few showing them with a spyglass and having fun, then Mumbo and the world builder, and then Watcher!Grian. I love the bright colors, the expressive faces, and especially the lighting.

Why I like it: Desert duo in desert colors but make it creepy/unsettling, show them turning into creatures, with threatening haloes of light... The combination of watcher!Grian staring directly at you while Scar, who is hiding the enchantment table under his cloak, has a face hidden in shadows, and his fingers are bloody and so is the sword Grian is carrying, works so well, I love the atmosphere.

Why I love it: I know little about either wrestling or 80s fashion but I love all of these designs, they are so creative and vibrant and joyful and fun and they all fit perfectly.

Why I like it: four dudes with fishing rods, what will they do? This is fun and these chibi character versions are very cute, and that includes the warden.

Why I like it: All four winners of the series with the fandom-assigned celestial body symbolism. I really like the composition here and the expressions and the colors. Mars is the lazy option though.


I sent a message to the OTW Board for endotwracism, but there have been so many (terrible) revelations about the OTW in the past days that it will take me a while longer to gather my thoughts.
