Gokusen 2, words

schneefinkWednesday is my work-free day, so clearly the best way to spend it was to watch TV all day. That wasn't the original plan, I wanted to be slightly more productive, but I also don't really regret it, it was so much fun.
We watched Gokusen 2 (season two because it was DD's favorite) and I loved it. The mob princess teacher of a class of delinquents; it's basically feel-good crack, terrible in many ways but also hilarious and very earnest and very iddy. It's the Power of Friendship with a bonus student-teacher extension and inspirational speeches, loyalty kink, h/c, teenagers struggling with growing up and being allowed to make mistakes, some family feelings, and a couple of satisfying fight scenes.
I want to watch the other seasons too (though I'm a bit wary of season one because DD said there's a borderline inappropriate teacher-student relationship) but not right now, I think it's a show I could overdose on and then not like it anymore and I don't want to risk it.
And then I immediately wrote a tiny AU snippet that's not going anywhere but there are words on a page. At the beginning of the year I signed up for![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
getyourwordsout and pledged to write something on 120 days this year. In early August I realized that not only am I far behind the goal, but the year is halfway over and I have to be careful to catch up as long as it's still possible. I decided to try and write something every day, no matter the quality and even if it's just a hundred words, and I succeeded on 9 of the last 10 days. Feels pretty good! Most of it drawerfic but still, words. I hope I'll be able to keep it up.
