Even more superheroes

I have three exams next week, and I have done basically nothing yesterday and today. *headdesk* Tomorrow a friend is visiting for brunch, which means I still need to plan brunch and should probably clean up a bit, and there's this to do and that to do and instead I've been procrastinating. Stupid.
Young Justice is back! Looks like three episodes every week, nice.
Kaldur leads the Justice League now! …that was quick. Probably just because nobody else wanted to do it and he was the compromise candidate, but still. Unfortunately that explains why we probably will see less of him, shame, he was my favorite character.
Meta-human trafficking is an interesting problem to tackle. Plus Batman and others resigning from the League because it's been shackled so much by Lex Luther as the UN Secretary (that is still ridiculous btw.)
…and what does Dick do? He recruits a team for a mission to Markovia, a sovereign country that explicitly said it doesn't want any superhero or vigilante activity, without official sanction, so yep, that's definitely illegal and could get him and the others in a lot of trouble. The League too, because Superboy is still a member. I understand why he did it but I just wanted to point that out, I hope canon does that too.
Weird that he recruited Superboy and not M'gann, btw. Her powers seem well suited to a covert operation, more than Superboy's. That proposal was a surprise, I'm not sure how I feel about it yet but I'm not sold on the pairing yet, they still have work to do on that.
I like Halo so far, and Brion and Gregory, I hope for lots of sibling angst (if not in canon then in fic.)
I'm a bit worried how they'll deal with the huge cast of characters. Season 1 had fewer, season 2 had most of the Justice League on another planet for most of it, now season 3 has even more characters, it makes it harder to keep track of them and also to each give them as much space as they deserve.
But mostly I'm excited that it's finally back and look forward to where the season is going :)

Date: 2019-01-12 10:19 am (UTC)It's an animated series about DC superheroes' sidekicks. (Ahem. Apprentices.) I really liked the first two seasons; I remember little of the plot of the first one, but the second had a few storylines I really liked, and cool characters. It was cancelled, but recently they decided to make a third season after all :)
