Hi! Thank you very much for writing a story for me! :D

Things I like:
* I love friendship/team/found family fic. Characters who grow to like each other, trust each other, and eventually would do many things for each other, yes please. Especially when they started out enemies/opponents/are in slightly different positions/places/there are obstacles etc.
* I'm a big fan of loyalty, betrayal, sacrifice, and related tropes.
* Canon-divergent AUs and time travel stories are great.
* Hurt/comfort in its many variations is wonderful. The focus can be on either but I like it best if there's a little bit of both.
* Some other things I love: competent characters, plot, happy (or at least optimistic) endings, hugs…

Things I don't like for Yuletide:
* Stories with a very dark or hopeless ending
* Explicit rape or abuse
* Character bashing
* Stories focusing on harlequin romance tropes, or PWP without character development
* Different world AUs, like coffeeshop AUs or Harry Potter fusions. I love the canon worlds of all these fandoms so I'd prefer to read fic taking place there.

Have fun! The prompts below are guidelines, I hope they help you think of ideas.


Inheritance Trilogy – N. K. Jemisin
Shahar Arameri, Deka Arameri

I enjoyed the divine family drama a lot, but I would love to see more of the human family relationships in "The Kingdom of Gods," especially Shahar and Deka. They love each other, but they grew up with the expectation that one would rule the family and pretty much the world, and the other would be marked, unable to disobey her will; and then the whole mess with Sieh happened on top of that and they were separated for so long. Their sibling relationship is fascinating, and I would love to see some of their perspective on their family, their sibling, the world, and Sieh. Remath and Ramina, and Morad, are interesting as well, if you feel like including them.

There are also so many opportunities for canon-divergent stories that would be fascinating to explore: what if they didn't do the ritual with Sieh? What if Deka wasn't sent away? What if Deka called Sieh back while at the Litaria, or what if either of them had called Sieh back much earlier/much later? What if Shahar didn't obey her mother and Sieh stayed at Sky? What if Sieh didn't wait two years to go see Deka? What if someone had recognized Ahad's features on Deka earlier? What if Shahar did end up marking Deka? What if Kahl wasn't a problem (anymore?) for whatever reason, and they had more time together, the two or three of them? I would enjoy seeing them work together, or even against each other, or some of both.



Bloodrights – N. Lee Wood
Antonya Terhune, Kerrick of Myro, Morgan

My favorite part were these three characters and the relationships between them, and I would especially love to see some post-canon fic with the three of them. There is still a long way to go until where they are in the epilogue, and plenty of time for (mis)adventures. Either shortly after Antonya is crowned, or years later: how is her reign going? What are they up to/facing, and how do their complicated relationships with each other develop?

I feel like this book has a ton of potential for h/c, adventures, politics, complicated feelings, and both angst and fluff; and as pretty much always, canon-divergence or time travel AUs could be very interesting. I prefer for the three of them to end up together in some way but other than that, anything could happen. Speaking of "together," I liked the very low level of romance in the book and would prefer for romance not to be the focus, but I also wouldn't mind some Antonya/Kerrick if you feel like it.


Echoes of the Fall – Adrian Tchaikovsky
Asmander|Asman, Venater|Venat, Maniye Many Tracks, Hesprec Essen Skese

These characters and the relationships between them are so interesting, especially together, in any combination, and I'd be happy to read pretty much anything with them. You don't need to include all four requested characters, but three would be nice. Another one of my favorites of the large cast of the great characters is Shyri, and also Tecuman and Tecumet and Broken Axe etc.

Some ideas:
- Post-canon fic, soon afterwards or several years later. Where are they, what/how are they doing, how much has their reputation grown, and why are they meeting again? Are there insect tribes now, do the Pale Shadow People and the River Kingdom have diplomatic relations, does Maniye have a warband still?
- Canon-divergent AUs – this could also include AUs where the Plague People don't come to the continent at all, there was plenty of conflict even before. What if Maniye had grown up with her mother, what if Maniye had returned North after Tecumet became Kasra, or what if the Serpent priesthood had been able to agree on Tecumet as Kasra before Asmander came back to the Tsotec?
- Time travel! Any of them, or Shyri, traveling back in time would be a lot of fun.
