TMA RPG fic: Wait For Me

I've recently become more interested in trying out different RPGs, so I decided to support Wait For Me on Kickstarter, a 22-day journaling game about time travel and connection where you travel through your own timeline. That sounded too introspective for my taste, but then I got the idea of playing it as fanfic and that sounded like a lot of fun. I decided on Gerard Keay, and I convinced DD to play as Lan Wangji. We got the first prompt today!

Wait For Me, by Gerard Keay

Additional tags: Repeated time travel, canon-divergence (probably)
Summary: Instead of finally dying a true death, Gerard Keay is thrown through time.

I have no idea where this is going, but I look forward to finding out! Playing parallel with DD makes it even more fun, since it already looks like her fic (Wait For Me by Lan Zhan) and mine will be very different. I intend to post daily, fingers crossed I can keep it up.

There is also a notebook component where you write things in your journal and add things, like newspaper clippings as proof of the current date (the latter is a bit more difficult to do for fic but maybe I can improvise.)

I've decided my character's journal is more of a sketch book than a diary, I look forward to doing a lot of doodling.

I'm so busy writing fic chapters that I almost forget actually writing in the notebook ^^ Today I thought "this is hard, we don't know who this character's first crush/date/love/etc. was", but then I remembered that it'd be hard if I played as myself too and with a fictional character it's easier to make something up ;)

So I actually have lots of childhood diaries, because I was in the habit of writing for a half dozen pages and then giving up and starting in a new book, or flipping an old book over and starting on the other end. It's a fun scavenger hunt, trying to find what the right place to leave a time-appropriate note is!
