I did it! I beat the final boss of the Hollow Knight main game :D
105% completion in 68:40 hours, the final battle alone took me a few hours spread out over a week and a half. Worth it. The last few days I noticed that my biggest problem as that I was getting too impatient during the spikes-on-one-side-of-the-arena phase, so yesterday I decided to equip Weaversong and Grubsong and only practice dodging for a bit. Fighting the Radiance with tiny spiderlings at my side was fun. Eventually today I switched back to using Shaman Stone, Spell Twister, Mark of Pride, and Quick Slash, and this time finally defeated her :) Feels great.
I wanted this to be the first ending I got, but I'll probably get "Sealed Siblings" eventually. (I'll have to start a new file for the pre-Voidheart ending. Maybe if I try a speedrun.)
Next: Trial of the Fool, 2400 Essence, Godhome... I'll see how far I'll get, now that I got the ending I wanted. Right now I'm still having fun.

Woo! That’s awesome. I gave up (temporarily) on the game before I got to the Radiance because I couldn’t get through White Palace, sigh, so I’m really impressed!

White Palace was hard, and I was very glad for Hiveblood, especially because I only found out about possible skips etc. online later and am not that good at pogo-ing. Good luck for when you try again, I'm sure you can do it :)

ty! What skips did you find? I know about the Path of Pain but not really about anything… okay, to be specific, I am stuck just after the third checkpoint in White Palace. I can get nearly to the top but I couldn’t seem to pogo off the metal bugs high enough to reach the wall, and it was just so much to keep track of that I eventually got tired and fucked off, lmao.

I didn't find a single skip, but after I was done I watched videos like this one, which mentions a few shortcuts.
So did you get to right after 12:15? Or the bugs at 18:37? That is the very last section! You can definitely do this :) Took me a while, too. The hardest part for me was at 17:40, because I did not see that platform to the right and went over those blades instead of under.

I’m at 12:00! So did not get to 12:15. I’m so annoyed about the last part of that tiny bit, I would 100% let someone else do it for me if I had to. My problem is I get really annoyed when things are repetitive and I can’t get them so eventually I said, look, Lix, you love this game, you will absolutely play the whole thing again sometime; keep this file and try again then. So maybe next summer or something, lmao. Thank you for the info and encouragement though, much appreciated. I also did not have anywhere near this amount of trouble on the way TO this area, so I wasn’t ready to be thwarted that thoroughly, lol.

Oh no, right before a bench, that must be extra frustrating! Yeah, the White Palace is quite a difficulty spike in platforming. Best of luck for when you try it again! :)

Not sure how many pantheons I will do, but I want to try at least one.
