Farscape 2.6 - 2.8

schneefinkToday I wasted two hours driving through town because friends forgot to tell me that they'd postponed the party again. To cheer myself up I decided to ignore my to-do-list and the time and watch some more Farscape. (Even though Farscape is not exactly the most cheerful show.)
2.6 Picture If You Will
Unfortunately I was spoiled for the fact that it was Malthus messing with them. I think it would have been much more suspenseful if I hadn't known. Still, watching them all die wasn't fun, and poor Zhaan.
The inside of the painting was wonderfully surreal.
2.7 Home on the Remains
A giant carcass in space. A very original idea, but how does that animal live? Does it breathe vacuum and eat meteors?
I didn't know their food situation was that bad, that part was portrayed convincingly, and I was wondering how they'd get out of it. Chiana offering to stay for a few nights - ouch. The ending felt completely satisfying after the set-up, but I can't quite explain why.
I didn't see D'Argo's crush on Chiana coming.
2.8 Dream a Little Dream
This is the episode I watched today (the others days ago, that's why the short descriptions.)
We actually got an explanation for Zhaan's craziness in the season 2 opening, and it was a whole episode! Now I want to go back and rewatch (I probably won't, I don't have enough time as it is, but I'll pay attention next time.) And yes, the combination of stress and grief and guilt and having to be the responsible one (Rygel and Chiana are like children, heh), plus hallucinations, being put on trial, fearing her friends might die because of her (again) - poor Zhaan! That scene where she tried to plead guilty and Chiana and Rygel had her gagged *winces*
I loved that she admitted how much she relies on the others to keep her strength, how they appeared in her hallucinations, and how comfortable she and Crichton are outside the flashback.
Chiana and Rygel get a chance to shine! (Well, kind of.) They both volunteer as advocates for Zhaan, and are so worried about Zhaan, awww. And we know that Zhaan won't get better immediately afterwards :(
I wonder how Moya did that thing with the torch in the end? It must have been extremely precise, gone through buildings, and be non-detectable by normal radiation sensors. Hm. Or it was just hand-waved. Like the fact that this display immediately ended the trial in a society with 90% lawyers. (I wonder if Litagara will show up again.)
