schneefinkLife series time is exciting, I look forward to every Friday for the new episodes. Though this weekend I'm away on a family crafting weekend so it'll be a long wait to watch.
Cleo:
- reading her task, in red capital letters on screen: "PANIC!" "PANIC HARDER!" I do love the disclaimer that this was the second recording session in a row and they might all be a bit loopy.
- asking Martyn for a carrot, Etho: "that sounds like a trade opportunity" "Etho you're on my side!" "I mean, I'm a capitalist…"
- the dramatic music is fantastic
- Tango: "Hi, I'm Cleo! Hi, I'm Cleo!" Skizz: "Hi, I'm Clebert, I just pretend to like somebody until I find someone better."
- Cleo saying they have the worst task; Tango: "Is it to backstab your friends? Because then you'll do it easily" Cleo: "I will frontstab my friends, thank you!"
- Skizz saying Cleo broke his heart. Cleo: "I will break your legs, and I'll be happy about it." Skizz: "Worst break-up ever!" Skizz to Scar: "Clebert's all over me!" and Cleo protesting that is not what that means
- sheesh, Cleo lost like thirteen hearts to that creeper!
- "If I go yellow today, I'm gonna kill Skizz."
- Mumbo saying Cleo can't eat porkchops while riding a pig ^^

- Cleo's pig is called Archimedes because if he dies she's screwed
- Cleo asking BigB about his gift heart and if he could take pity on a poor soul; BigB: "Aww, pig, what happened to you… wait, which poor soul?" xD Cleo will put this on the list of stuff about BigB that's never gonna be forgiven
- "This is the worst thing that's ever happened to me." "Sounds like you've had a pretty good life." "I've had a pretty charmed life to be honest."
- Etho being shocked how few hearts Cleo has left, Cleo: "I thought I'd come home where you could protect me." Etho: "I'm not a protector, Cleo-" "I know that" "-I'm a runner." "I'm a sarcastic-er, but that's, you know, that's all I've got."
- Cleo coming back to Etho with a murder list xD "We need to kill so many people." "BigB mocked me and I can't be doing with that, that's just not a thing we allow here."
- Cleo losing hearts going through the doorway and Etho immediately securing the doorway and the berry bush
- Etho laying out his base plans, Cleo likes them, "and then we can just plot murder to everybody else when we're red. Who are you taking out first, Etho?" Etho suggests Joel because he's very cheeky ^^ after he said last time that Joel owns his heart. Boat boys.
- Cleo saying they want BigB to die and he gives them a heart a minute later so Cleo forgives him and Etho informs him he's off the murder list. Feels weird that Etho is not on the list for once! Etho: it's a nice treat, that we're on the same side for once
- Bdubs saying he's going to come live with Cleo and dad, Cleo saying it would be a pleasure, but she's not his mother anymore, that was a different reality. Bdubs starting to sing "She's just Cleo" xD
- "You know what, Bdubs, but if you want me to be your mother I will be your mother." "You will?" "I will." "I don't need no mum, I'm a grown man." "Really? How do you explain the everything?" "What do you mean?" "I mean… Bdubs. Bdubs, look at me." "What? I'm fine!" "You are fine! You are a strong strapping young man who don't need no help from anyone!" "That's right, I don't need no help from nobody!" "That's why you're using our sheeps, and our wheat…" "I'm self-sufficient! Let me borrow your sheep real quick…"
- Bdubs telling Cleo she has to join everyone at Pearl's house, Impulse in chat saying "pigs are welcome too" (presumably referring to Cleo) and Grian answering "omw then"
- Cleo got off her pig and immediately took fall damage xD and then rushing to the Secret Keeper during the night while singing a silly song and with Bdubs escorting her
- what the hell is going on at Pearl's xD Cleo just joins without questioning it for one second
- Etho asking Cleo and Bdubs for help with his moral dilemma, if they're allowed to hurt people. Cleo: "I would say only emotionally right now, as a Green…" but then decides presenting a risk is fine "so long as it's not me." It's more a shade of grey, "it's fine."
- to Bdubs: "You're just a horse girl at heart, aren't you." "Oh I love them so much, they're so strong and beautiful and majestic." "Just like you!" "Yeah, it's symbolism, isn't it… "It is, it is" "Or maybe it's the opposite of me, maybe it's what I wish I had." "I mean, I think you're strong and beautiful and wonderful and brave like horses." "This is some sort of challenge! Make Bdubs feel like a strong horse." … "Sometimes I can be nice!" "I never would have thought I'd see the day." "It's not often but it does happen!"
- Scott talking about enchanting, which Etho misunderstands: "And Cleo was also included in the deal." [Scott&Cleo, aww] "Noo you don't get Cleo, noo way, I'm holding onto Cleo. […] You try rip her out of my hands, it's not happening." Cleo: "I'm scared…" Scott: "This is a big turn from last season with you two!" Etho: "We're besties, we've always been besties." Cleo: "We're besties now." Impulse, in evil voice changer: "Cleo, you're coming with us." Cleo: "Never, I would never leave Etho." THEM.
- after Etho's misfortunate with the puffer fish, Scott: "Really, this is your best friend?" Cleo: "He didn't hurt me." Gem: "Cleo, your bestie is an idiot." Impulse: "Maybe you wanna come with us, Cleo. It's dangerous around here." ^^
- Yeah Etho is definitely playing it up for the bit now, and Cleo is cracking up. These two.
- Martyn got an ouchie, poor guy
- the witnesses for his embarrassing stalactite trap build: "That was only us. …and Bdubs."
- Oh no, back to ten hearts again…
- Etho: "I'm actually scared to build out of wood, basing with you, just in case you turn on me." And Cleo explaining that he is their 100% alliance now, set in stone, and she doesn't turn on their alliances, Cleo is loyal to a fault. "You're good with me. It's just everyone else that has to worry."
- Lizzie showing up and acting very suspiciously, but hey it's probably task-related so they just roll with it and put her to work helping them flattening the terrain. Lizzie keeps coming up with weird names to call them, which is hilarious. Including kittycats!, and "bestie," and Etho says he wouldn't go that far, Cleo is his bestie. Cleo: "Yeah, we are besties, right now. You can be bestie-adjacent, if you like…"
- Cleo, after talking about how people don't act weird at all: "I love this game." Etho: "It brings out another side of people, that's for sure."
- Etho: "Cleo, I think – we like to be mischievous, right?" And proposing putting berry bushes around people's bases. That's going to be fun.
That was amazing. I love Cleo, she has such interesting relationships with people, and Cleo & Etho is one of my favorite pairs so I'm absolutely delighted by their team-up :D
Tbh I don't think Cleo's task was that difficult. Annoying for sure, but it had the big advantage of not being dependent on other players' reactions. Cleo lost the vast majority of their hearts while not riding the pig. But of course everything is much more difficult when you're panicking.
Lizzie:
- She got a taste for revenge xD Pity she burnt down Cleo's upstairs so quickly that nobody had time to come watch
- I didn't think the pumpkin roof for a pink house would work but it does!
- Lizzie convinced herself that the very obvious sounds of someone (Grian) tunneling were her composter xD
- Lizzie needs to feed her Mumbo xD
- Everyone is way too polite to call her out on her "secret tasks" – even though guessing doesn't ruin it ^^
Mumbo
- Mumbo's reaction to his task ^^ but he found a clever excuse for going over for a visit
- Bdubs saying he knows how to manipulate Etho xD
- "Sometimes I get scared asking Etho for things." "He can be very, what is the word, intimidating." "He is intimidating, but in the best possible way." Text on screen for half a second: "AKA I still fanboy and get nervous" Mumbo <3
- Mumbo selling his services: "I come with no resources and very little talent." Great job Mumbo.
- Mumbo getting so flustered when Etho called him a creative genius ^^
- "I'm happy to be in whatever group – oh hey there Bdubs."
- Etho offering Mumbo to Lizzie in exchange for a cow is wild xD
- Grian, upon hearing that Mumbo's task was to become best friends with Etho, felt bad for Etho, and then Mumbo explains that Etho basically sold him to Lizzie xD
- Mumbo is talking with Grian, gets hit by a creeper, automatically calls out "Grian!" out of habit xD
- I like the vertical pond :)
Gem
- the light grey stained glass panes task xD
- all three of them approaching Etho is actually threatening ^^ (even though they're all green.)
- Etho: "Did that make you jump?" "It made me want to punch you!" Typical Gem ^^
- okay so after the puffer fish Etho definitely only continued to troll people. "You're so pathetic, stop it!" xD and later telling him he needs an intervention
- Etho actively preventing Bdubs from enchanting ^^
- actually punching Grian for illegal enchanting, go Gem
Tango
- not that Skizz isn't enough (as Etho insinuates, and Bdubs calls him dead weight…) but they do want a third for the Heart Foundation on Love Island
- Tango and Skizz want Scar for his ability to manipulate people, but they want him to move in and Scar already has his trading house, uh-oh.
- Tango absolutely deliberately tried to stop Bdubs from fulfilling his task, and he called Impulse on telling him his task too soon too. He realizes this is a competition.
- Tango, Skizz, and Grian making a pact not to be swindled by Scar again, even though he didn't actually swindle anyone this episode xD Tango and Skizz gave him theirs as a good will gift, Grian didn't give him anything (except a cactus back)
- I appreciate Skizz saying that Gem, Scott, and Impulse should be called the Cherry Blossoms and he'll try to convince everyone to use that, especially if Impulse really is uncomfortable using his actual first name
Martyn
- Martyn telling the Secret Keeper at the beginning of the session that it has no control over him, and then dying that episode, is perfectly fitting
- Before that he did a good job gaining hearts from others and getting his task done! Convincing Jimmy to burn down his house by saying it was Scar's was clever.
- I understand his reasoning for going into the bastion, even! He just needed to be more careful with the brutes because they hit hard, as he found out.
- all the teasing xD did someone at least tell him it was a brute-al death
BigB
- that was not a very hard task. Red again, which seems to confirm the "wrong datapack" story.
- uh-oh, Grian gave him the idea and now BigB thinks building an underground prison is not a bad idea…
Pearl
- yes Scar was very sus but "nobody just compliments me like that" is still a bit sad
- Pearl was so accommodating with Jimmy! And then everybody else – the sleepover was fantastic. And then Grian coming in last, saying "aw, guys, you shouldn't have," and Impulse starts singing Happy birthday and the others join in ^^
Grian:
- …why are Jimmy, Martyn, and even accidentally Mumbo and Bdubs playing "will this arrow shot in the air hit you" carousel with Grian? Wat. And why did Grian fake shooting arrows at Jimmy in the first place ^^
- Grian takes half a heart of fall damage, cut scene: "Now that you feel sorry for me because I've taken some damage," talks about the merch, good advertising
- Moving the doors in BigB's backrooms was a great use of opportunity for his task
- "After five series, I think I know not to bargain with Scar."
- After a misunderstanding about an offered bargain with Scar: "I'm not gifting you the heart! I'm giving it to someone SPECIAL!" "Wow." "Oh okay I'm sorry."
- His door heist at Lizzie's worked out perfectly, kudos
- I wonder, when Grian traded for ancient debris, if he forgot that he needed a template for netherite upgrades or not. And then he gives her a golden apple and even a cactus voluntarily in addition to the orange dye because he felt bad.
- Scar: "Remember when I gave you that cactus…" "Give me your heart" xD and then Scar did that and refused to believe that Grian gave his cactus away because "you and I, we know monopolies." Aw.
- Etho jumpscare!
- For some reason Grian's voice when he's saying "This is what it's like when we're all on green, it's very nice" cracks me up.
- that is a very strange birch stair structure… and he plans to build it up higher, uh-oh
- gifting his heart to Lizzie because he feels sorry for her because people made fun of her when she failed her task ^^
- Etho thinking Pearl's red terracotta was Scar making an outline for his base is funny
Etho:
- "Cleo, so are we basing together or… she's gone."
- telling Jimmy to be very gentle to the trees when taking dark oak ^^
- "Bdubs doesn't like his house anymore" "Is it because it looks like a lot of other houses?" xD
- Bdubs blaming Mumbo for his building the world project ^^
- "I think Bdubs is Mumbo's butler today for some reason." "Yes I am."
- Tango: "Are we allowed to wear hats?" "Scar is, because he's special, but I don't think anyone else is." "He's a special little snowflake, yeah."
- that dangerous berry bush with a personality really is fun
- Etho calling Mumbo shockingly friendly: "Excuse me, have you ever hung around with me and Bdubs, we're just friendly individuals." "You're actually both very friendly people, that's true."
- Mumbo gets Etho to say that his behavior was "best-friendly," Scar asks why that's great, and I bet Mumbo would be embarrassed to know that Etho could hear his "big fan of Etho" ^^
- Callback to Limited Life, Bdubs showing Etho how to make a prettier staircase again xD
- Bdubs giving Etho a pufferfish as an affirmation of their "old thing," if things come down to it they don't betray each other. "Deal."
- Yeah that first scare on Grian totally counts ^^ but good on Etho for trying to make sure for trolling people
- Tango seeing Etho sneak up on Gem and nodding at him, and Gem not reacting at all ^^
- Bdubs: "I love what this series is doing to Etho." xD
- Omg Etho did himself seven and a half points of damage with that puffer fish xD
- I missed that Gem got her glass panes in Etho's inventory xD

- Etho is so used now to others helping with chores that he immediately puts Lizzie to work ^^
- Etho: "I felt really bad being weird by people, but, some of these people…." Cleo: "Some of these people are just weirder than you are, Etho." Etho: "Yeah. I thought I was pushing it…" Cleo: "You were." Bdubs: "I love what this is doing to us, I love it. It's making us all psychopaths." Cleo: "I think we all were psychopaths, this just brings it out." Bdubs: "It's so true, such true chaos everywhere."

Scar:
- Scar. Scar you are so not subtle. Scar. *facepalm*
- Scar cut out Grian's apology after saying he won't gift his heart to Scar but to someone special xDD
- Scar talking to Bdubs and calling Pearl the best builder on the server. Bdubs, astonished: "Wow. Really. What about us?? …she's probably the best, you're probably right."
- Scar taking people on rides on his camel to Pearl's base xD with commentary in a great announcer voice. "This is a wild Etho, taking his offspring on an adventure…"
- the fact that Grian was talking so much about Scar swindling people and then was the one who tried to swindle Scar out of a heart ^^
- a courthouse! Interesting! I wonder if it'll actually be used…
Bdubs:
- Mumbo complimenting him on his movement/parkour: "MCC, 27th place." ^^
- Mumbo saying he's the only person who's said no to being in MCC: we knew he declined, but the only person, really? ^^ (I assume he meant in recent times, we know quite a few people declined for the first/first couple.) To be fair there are probably very few people who Scott even invites nowadays, instead of them asking first.
- Etho told Bdubs he "left" Mumbo at Lizzie's ^^
- Etho emphasizing how very normal he is ^^
- Cleo telling Etho he's her favorite
- Bdubs not letting Etho and Cleo use his lapis, Cleo threatening that she and Etho will cry xD
- Bdubs asking what else Etho got from completing his task and Cleo saying "my eternal, undying respect" aösldkaösl
- "You're lucky I'm using your farm over the others" Bdubs what ^^
- Etho thought Bdubs building the world was a joke. But yeah a square would have been easier
- Bdubs thinks Etho and Cleo are a bit mad because he's around all the time
- I'm glad Bdubs found out Mumbo only suggested the earth so he'd have an excuse to go to Etho's ^^
Impulse:
- I love that the music during the camel ride Impulse gets from Scar is Scar's superfast build mode music
- His dramatic "Noooo" + editing when he found out he failed because he told Tango his task before pushing the button xD
- Impulse was such a huge enabler of the slumber party xD Together with Mumbo. Nice pink overlay edit when Mumbo gets into the bunkbed with him ^^
Skizz:
- Tango and Skizz love each other but they really want a third xD
- Skizz already calls his friends by nicknames all the time, easiest task for him
- Tango teasing Skizz about him not having been able to play Decked Out yet ^^
- I love how after Scar hears Skizz call himself Face and Tango Top he calls Lizzie Shadow, just going along with the bit. It might not have been on purpose but still funny.
I watched everyone but Scott, Joel, or Jimmy.
I like that they seem to be very free in how strictly they interpret their tasks/the rules. It's about content, not rules, after all. Though the first two sessions were on the same day, I wonder if they clarified some things before the next one, we'll see.

- okay so after the puffer fish Etho definitely only continued to troll people. "You're so pathetic, stop it!" xD and later telling him he needs an intervention
- Etho actively preventing Bdubs from enchanting ^^

Tango
- not that Skizz isn't enough (as Etho insinuates, and Bdubs calls him dead weight…) but they do want a third for the Heart Foundation on Love Island
- Tango and Skizz want Scar for his ability to manipulate people, but they want him to move in and Scar already has his trading house, uh-oh.
- Tango absolutely deliberately tried to stop Bdubs from fulfilling his task, and he called Impulse on telling him his task too soon too. He realizes this is a competition.
- Tango, Skizz, and Grian making a pact not to be swindled by Scar again, even though he didn't actually swindle anyone this episode xD Tango and Skizz gave him theirs as a good will gift, Grian didn't give him anything (except a cactus back)
- I appreciate Skizz saying that Gem, Scott, and Impulse should be called the Cherry Blossoms and he'll try to convince everyone to use that, especially if Impulse really is uncomfortable using his actual first name
Martyn
- Martyn telling the Secret Keeper at the beginning of the session that it has no control over him, and then dying that episode, is perfectly fitting
- Before that he did a good job gaining hearts from others and getting his task done! Convincing Jimmy to burn down his house by saying it was Scar's was clever.
- I understand his reasoning for going into the bastion, even! He just needed to be more careful with the brutes because they hit hard, as he found out.
- all the teasing xD did someone at least tell him it was a brute-al death
BigB
- that was not a very hard task. Red again, which seems to confirm the "wrong datapack" story.
- uh-oh, Grian gave him the idea and now BigB thinks building an underground prison is not a bad idea…
Pearl
- yes Scar was very sus but "nobody just compliments me like that" is still a bit sad
- Pearl was so accommodating with Jimmy! And then everybody else – the sleepover was fantastic. And then Grian coming in last, saying "aw, guys, you shouldn't have," and Impulse starts singing Happy birthday and the others join in ^^
Grian:
- …why are Jimmy, Martyn, and even accidentally Mumbo and Bdubs playing "will this arrow shot in the air hit you" carousel with Grian? Wat. And why did Grian fake shooting arrows at Jimmy in the first place ^^
- Grian takes half a heart of fall damage, cut scene: "Now that you feel sorry for me because I've taken some damage," talks about the merch, good advertising
- Moving the doors in BigB's backrooms was a great use of opportunity for his task
- "After five series, I think I know not to bargain with Scar."
- After a misunderstanding about an offered bargain with Scar: "I'm not gifting you the heart! I'm giving it to someone SPECIAL!" "Wow." "Oh okay I'm sorry."
- His door heist at Lizzie's worked out perfectly, kudos
- I wonder, when Grian traded for ancient debris, if he forgot that he needed a template for netherite upgrades or not. And then he gives her a golden apple and even a cactus voluntarily in addition to the orange dye because he felt bad.
- Scar: "Remember when I gave you that cactus…" "Give me your heart" xD and then Scar did that and refused to believe that Grian gave his cactus away because "you and I, we know monopolies." Aw.
- Etho jumpscare!
- For some reason Grian's voice when he's saying "This is what it's like when we're all on green, it's very nice" cracks me up.
- that is a very strange birch stair structure… and he plans to build it up higher, uh-oh
- gifting his heart to Lizzie because he feels sorry for her because people made fun of her when she failed her task ^^
- Etho thinking Pearl's red terracotta was Scar making an outline for his base is funny
Etho:

Scar:

- Scar cut out Grian's apology after saying he won't gift his heart to Scar but to someone special xDD
- Scar talking to Bdubs and calling Pearl the best builder on the server. Bdubs, astonished: "Wow. Really. What about us?? …she's probably the best, you're probably right."
- Scar taking people on rides on his camel to Pearl's base xD with commentary in a great announcer voice. "This is a wild Etho, taking his offspring on an adventure…"
- the fact that Grian was talking so much about Scar swindling people and then was the one who tried to swindle Scar out of a heart ^^
- a courthouse! Interesting! I wonder if it'll actually be used…
Bdubs:
- Mumbo complimenting him on his movement/parkour: "MCC, 27th place." ^^
- Mumbo saying he's the only person who's said no to being in MCC: we knew he declined, but the only person, really? ^^ (I assume he meant in recent times, we know quite a few people declined for the first/first couple.) To be fair there are probably very few people who Scott even invites nowadays, instead of them asking first.
- Etho told Bdubs he "left" Mumbo at Lizzie's ^^
- Etho emphasizing how very normal he is ^^
- Cleo telling Etho he's her favorite
- Bdubs not letting Etho and Cleo use his lapis, Cleo threatening that she and Etho will cry xD
- Bdubs asking what else Etho got from completing his task and Cleo saying "my eternal, undying respect" aösldkaösl
- "You're lucky I'm using your farm over the others" Bdubs what ^^
- Etho thought Bdubs building the world was a joke. But yeah a square would have been easier
- Bdubs thinks Etho and Cleo are a bit mad because he's around all the time
- I'm glad Bdubs found out Mumbo only suggested the earth so he'd have an excuse to go to Etho's ^^
Impulse:
- I love that the music during the camel ride Impulse gets from Scar is Scar's superfast build mode music
- His dramatic "Noooo" + editing when he found out he failed because he told Tango his task before pushing the button xD
- Impulse was such a huge enabler of the slumber party xD Together with Mumbo. Nice pink overlay edit when Mumbo gets into the bunkbed with him ^^
Skizz:
- Tango and Skizz love each other but they really want a third xD
- Skizz already calls his friends by nicknames all the time, easiest task for him
- Tango teasing Skizz about him not having been able to play Decked Out yet ^^
- I love how after Scar hears Skizz call himself Face and Tango Top he calls Lizzie Shadow, just going along with the bit. It might not have been on purpose but still funny.
I watched everyone but Scott, Joel, or Jimmy.
I like that they seem to be very free in how strictly they interpret their tasks/the rules. It's about content, not rules, after all. Though the first two sessions were on the same day, I wonder if they clarified some things before the next one, we'll see.
I need an icon for this series, hmm.
