Marvel's The Avengers

schneefinkThis is the first movie in years that I want to see again in the cinema. It's fantastic. So funny, great character interaction, not too stupid plot - I loved it.
Unexpected best thing of the movie: Bruce Banner. His reaction when he learns about the prison they built for him or to the submarine idea, his interaction with Tony, his comment about his attempted suicide, driving to the battlefield in a Moped - he's the best. Where is all the Bruce fic, internet? I hope there will be a lot more after the movie premieres in the US.
Natasha Romanoff is fantastic. Her Russian accent could have been even better imo (says the person with a terrible accent herself; and btw I don't know why her last name is Romanoff instead of Romanova), but she was a great spy. Jumping on top of an alien flying thing, go Natasha! And her interrogation scenes, and hand-to-hand combat, and her and Clint, yes. Loved it.
Phil Coulson, biggest fanboy *g* "I watched you while you were sleeping. ..." Awww. There were so many great lines in the movie: "He's adopted." xD
I liked the others too and many more things, but it's late and I should still get some work done. Now that I've seen the movie I enjoyed reading through everyone else's reaction posts and squee - and there will be even more, looking forward to it!
I'm already reading Avengers fic, I should probably do a rec list. After the exams are over.

Date: 2012-05-02 08:10 pm (UTC)Avengers!Bruce is awesome. I tried to find out more about Bruce/Hulk in the comics and I think I like the movie version much better. I haven't seen the two Hulk movies yet.
Maybe that's why there's not enough fic about him, and a lot of it has characterization that doesn't work for me at all now that I've seen the film. Hopefully that will change!

Date: 2012-05-02 08:46 pm (UTC)I've never read the comics and I only barley remember watching the cartoons - so can't say anything to that... :) I've seen the first Hulk movie but I didn't like it that much. So, I was very surprised how much I liked Bruce/Hulk in the movie! And how much he rocked!
