Doctor Who seasons 2&3

I wanted to wait until I found a good icon for this post, but pictures load very slowly for me atm and I don't really know where to look, so later.
By now I've seen the first three seasons of new Doctor Who, and I love it. The crazy adventures, the characters, and especially the sense of wonder everywhere: look how amazing this universe is!
It warps your brain a bit: when I first heard about the plot of "The Runaway Brain"(ETA: Bride, of course, but the other title fits DW well *g*) I thought that this show must be completely mad, but when I finally got around to watching it it didn't seem particularly strange anymore. ;-)
It's been a few weeks since I saw the beginning of season 2. We lost Jack Harkness without an explanation why they left him behind (that bothered me for ages.) We met Sarah Jane, and I didn't know how awesome she was yet but enjoyed the episode nonetheless. "The Girl in the Fireplace" was nice. Then, Cybermen! The two-parters of the season were the best episodes. Also of seasons one and three, actually.
Rose! :( Poor Rose *hugs her* From an outside story-telling perspective it was well done, but poor Rose.
But then the first glimpse of Donna, and then Martha Jones! The Shakespeare episode was fun. And then Daleks! Whoa, the Doctor is scary when he's mad, even more so when he's shouting at something to kill him.
I was disappointed that 42 had nothing to do with - well, 42. It seemed a bit like a mix of "The Impossible Planet" and Farscape's "Exodus from Genesis", in a way, but still good.
And then "Human Nature" and "Family of Blood". Wonderful episodes! Especially the contrast between John Smith and the Doctor. The Doctor can be cruel, it's sometimes tempting to forget that.
I was a bit disappointed by "Blink", because I heard it was scary, but I didn't think so. Not nearly as scary as "The Empty Child". The angels 'only' send you back in time, you learn relatively soon what they are, and there's a method (well, kind of) to defend yourself. The Empty Child was way scarier. But at least now I know exactly where the "The Angels Have the Phonebox" t-shirt comes from. And "wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff." "This is my timey-wimey detector. It makes ding when there's stuff." Oh Doctor *g*
I find it interesting that they occasionally have outsider viewpoint stories, and here I liked that Sally met the again when he hadn't met her yet - timelines are confusing!
And then! Captain Jack Harkness is back! Finally \o/ I loved the Jack&Doctor scenes so much. Jack is bitter that he was left behind (yes! Finally someone mentions it!), the Doctor strangely reserved at first, and the scene where Jack asks after Rose, wonderful. And then later when Jack is in the radiation room. And "The Sound of Drums", when Jack admits that he works for Torchwood.
But now I wonder about "the end of time" - and the TARDIS was so afraid of Jack that she jumped there? And nevertheless the Doctor later offers Jack to come with them? Strange.
The Master, and "say my name" - I have to admit, in the beginning I found it hard to take him seriously. Later I did. Poor Martha. And poor TARDIS! And Jack, tortured for a year - by now whenever I hear of a fictional character being immortal I'm afraid they're going to be tortured for a very long time... And the Doctor, humiliated.
I was surprised we never got more about the Master's wife, I can't figure out why he married her and it's hard to believe he fell in love with a normal human so quickly.
(When I first saw it I kept thinking of what Sarah Jane and the gang were doing, but if the air date is 'now', then Luke wasn't even born yet.)
But Martha saves the world because she is awesome! The scene where the Master taunts Martha, who is on her knees in front of him and apparently defeated, and then she starts to grin - yes!
Jack is the Face of Boe. xD On the one hand, at least the Face of Boe seems to have found peace and died; on the other hand, that's a really long time. It's nice that Jack has his own people now, though from what little I've seen of Torchwood (tried it, it's not for me) it's a very dysfunctional family, and they even shot him. A good manager Jack is not.
Time Crash: really, a Doctor with a 'decorative vegetable'? *g*
Voyage of the Damned: apparently it's highly unusual that I can't recognize Kylie Minogue, whatever. A bit too much emphasis on characters I cared too little about, but nice overall. First we had evil robots, then we had evil angels, now we have evil robot angels! And then we have the Doctor rising up with the angels *g*
So, now bedtime for me. Hopefully this week we can start with season 4. The reason why I stopped watching Farscape in the middle of season 2 and started Doctor Who instead is because it's so much more fun to watch it with friends :) They've all seen it before, so whenever they all look at me to watch my reaction I know there's a good scene coming *g* And the host couple have two sonic screwdrivers, the Master's thingy, the Journal of impossible things, and other stuff I'm not allowed to see yet. They also have pictures of themselves with the TARDIS from where they lived in London/Cardiff. So jealous. They said season four is good and I'm looking forward to it. (No spoilers! I already know some things that are going to happen from when I thought I'd never watch this show - poor Donna! - and whenever A. realizes that he goes off on a ten minute rant about spoilers and how they ruin everything ^^)

I wonder how they met? Did she find something out about him and he decided to tell her? I don't even remember her name...
