Doctor Who 4x01 - 4x06:
ROSE! Rose was there! Or her ghost was. What was she doing there, how did she get there?! Sooo curious. There was literal flailing and squeaking, L. and M. were very amused *grumbles* I'm very glad I don't have to wait a week for each episode.

And Donna! Donna is wonderful. I loved the beginning of "Partners in Crime", with the two of them just missing each other, and then the ridiculous pantomime scene while the enemy is watching *g* Not the best episode to watch while eating, though.

While watching "The Fires of Pompeii" the rain started, and during the scene when the volcano erupted there was lightning and thunder outside, the perfect mood :)
"You've been out-soothsayed." "Is that so, man from Gallifrey?" xD
I like getting more insight into Time Lords and what they can do: apparently the Doctor can 'see' that the destruction of Pompeii is a fixed point in time (meaning so was his decision.) That means that there is a series of 'fixed points' that are somehow supposed to happen, and the Time Lords fix those points if they are changed. So those 'fixed points' are very close to a fixed destiny/fate of the universe - and how did they come into existence?

The Ood are back! In the end I didn't even find them creepy anymore. I'm really glad they're free.

Martha \o/ Martha and Evil Clone Martha. Doctor Jones :) Working for UNIT - I'm sorry UNIT is shown as so incompetent. Their soldiers' training leaves a lot to be desired, so do their strategies, protocols, decisions... Why can't we have a smart organization? Fine, the Doctor saves the day, so do a few other heroes, but please show us that ordinary people can come together to do good things efficiently! Being a member of a large organization does not automatically make you stupid.
Donna wants to stay with the Doctor forever, oh Donna *hugs her*
It's interesting how Martha always had something she knew she could go back to and in the back of her mind probably always knew she would, while Rose and Donna both planned to stay with the Doctor indefinitely. With both Rose and Donna we're shown (in Donna's case told) that they have huge problems adjusting to normal life without the Doctor around. Donna :(
(I found out what will happen to Donna when I read Displacement (The Longest Three-Week Day) by [personal profile] michelel72. At that time I didn't think I'd ever watch Doctor Who. I'm not sure how much I regret knowing that spoiler: sure, it makes me sad and angry even now when I could be enjoying Donna's time as a Companion more, but being surprised by it out of the blue seems extremely cruel. And now I know which fic I'm going to read immediately afterwards.)

"The Doctor's Daughter": Jenny! I loved how she confronted the Doctor: "how is what you do different from what we do?" and yet still saw the truth gained from experience in his words and followed his advice. And now she's off to explore the galaxy, and one day she will be back! (L. and M., who are normally very careful about spoilers, mentioned that she hasn't appeared again as of season 6. But they also keep cracking up because of sentences that apparently only make sense three seasons later, so I'm relatively sure she's not forgotten.)
The Doctor's strict no-gun rule seems slightly hypocritical because he does use weapons regularly, but the difference is that he never intentionally brings anything that is mainly a weapon. A fine line. His comment to Jenny suggests that he was a more active fighter in the Time War.

It's a bit weird: I love Rose, Martha, and Donna, even Jenny, but the Doctor I mostly find fascinating. It's different, but I don't know why.

Still didn't get around to looking for a Doctor Who icon.

Today was Star Wars Day in the Prater (Vienna's amusement park) with lots of cosplay! I was late and had to go to choir practice afterwards, so I only had about 15 minutes, but there was a fight between Darth Maul and Obi-Wan and a group photograph with everyone (two Darth Mauls, two Leias, one of everyone else except Han and Chewbacca, and a few Jedi I didn't recognize.) It was great! Star Wars music under the Riesenrad :D
No pictures, because I forgot to check my camera's battery.

Now I want a Doctor Who/Star Wars crossover in which the Doctor meets Yoda. I think they might get along well.

I'm going to wait a wee while then, as the fic assumes you've seen all of season 4 :)

Het's not my usual cup of tea and I had to skip all the sex parts but the idea intrigued me enough, esp Donna stuck in the 18/19th century for a prolonged time.
