schneefinkPast Life ended, and it was great. The teams were fantastic, the gimmick was fun but more in the background than in the previous too which was a nice change of pace, the improv was on point, the stories came together so well again.
I watched several videos each week, sometimes more sometimes less, and there's plenty I still want to watch eventually and some I want to watch again. I wanted to go over my notes again too to clean them up and add some more, but if I don't post them now I don't know when it will happen, so here is the first draft. (Which is already at 7k.)
I'm typing this while admiring my shiny new Life series desk mat btw, very pretty.
#1 Early early on
Cleo
- Cleo's strategy: "Panic, die, repeat." ^^
- Love the concept, love the Cleo & Martyn team-up. They're so on the same page! Like when they were trolling BigB about there being a boogeyman (fantastic) and just teasing each other, and deciding to be gremlins. Both of them being invisible and blowing out torches as ghosts was funny.
The meetings with the "villains" was very fun, first complimenting them which gets taken in the worst possible way, then deciding to team up to kill another team which ended up in Grian accidentally killing Martyn and then dying himself, and then Cleo giving Grian back some items and Grian bemoaning that his villain arc starts with incompetence.
Cleo has always been the little voice in Martyn's head, the devil, of course. And "That's my problem, Martyn, I'm always honest." ^^
Cleo invited Ren to join them but Ren declined! I'm not unhappy about that tbh, I like Ren but I think there'd be a lot more focus on Ren&Martyn than Cleo.
I love the Mount Rushmore base ^^
Etho
- Etho is so excited about the old Minecraft version, it's so sweet. He can show off! He knows things! Everyone comes to him for help! There's only room here for simple things like the climb up with gravel trick etc. but it works.
The water tower, Jimmy asking if he'll be okay, Bdubs telling him he'll be fine, Jimmy dies immediately after xD Because one block of water isn't enough in this version. Bdubs says he was going to give a speech about how he's rooting for him this season but not anymore, he can't root for that.
- Etho and Scott just haaaappened to walk by Bdubs and Scar's place while discussing they have no base yet, what a lucky coincidence! Scar is very happy about cabincore boys, his and Etho's talk about manliness was ridiculous, Scar was so enthusiastic that he started coughing ^^
- Etho & Scott & Bdubs & Scar is a strong and fun team. Cabincore boys! Scar and Etho talking about manliness was ridiculous ^^
- Everyone keeps giving him redstone!
- Aww, Joel being so protective of Jimmy.
- PVP duel with Gem! Scar chanting "murder, murder…" It was close but Etho won, nice.
- Building himself a sand golem stand-in to talk to Martyn while invisible ^^
Grian
- First time Grian made plans for his team before the series: he wants the strongest team, so he picks Gem and Pearl
- Immediate failure as villains xD
- Grian is so distraught over not finding diamonds! xD He even leaves Mumbo a voice note asking where he hid them ^^
- Roses argument
- Scar trap
Scar:
- Of course Scar finds a creeper and decides to play with it, just Scar things.
- Finding Grian crouched under an overhang, in front of a lava lake, hiding from the spider on top of it was very funny.
- Of course Scar immediately trades for armor ^^ And luring Etho with snacks xD
- He's so happy about the old-school hot tub! Of course Scott immediately warns it'll be trapped eventually.
Martyn:
- Cleo saying she's not looking for him to die, "you're the only person here with me that makes me not afraid." Aww.
BigB
- Of course BigB is just lying to everyone from the start about his diamonds. But he cut out him falling for Martyn and Cleo lying to him xD
- Cleo said they and Martyn are "team holds a grudge – you should know that," I like that better than Lost Generation.
- Is "Big Bopper" a new Skizz nickname or not?
- Skizz trying to recruit BigB to "the Rejects": we need you to humble yourself, what's not perfect about BigB. BigB: *crickets* that's a tough one… ^^
- BigB asking Cleo not to fish him and immediately afterwards, when they say he's not that tasty, saying he'd be a big catch, Cleo: yeah, 'cause I'd skin you, for your diamond armor. BigB, quietly: "Cleo scares me. Sometimes." ^^
- Bdubs telling BigB he's always welcome with the cabincore guys and then saying it's good BigB is a floater, hmm have a hunch Bdubs didn't mean that ^^
#2 Tango with a mustache
Cleo
- Mumbo! All conversations Cleo had with "Tango" were a delight. "Tango" saying that Cleo has such a threatening aura and Cleo saying they have the fewest kills, Cleo just happens to mention the boogey opportunity, the discussion about if Tango is whingy or crotchety, the hot tub conversation where Scar talks about what Tango tastes like…
- Boogeyman is back!
- Ren asking Cleo what they're offering in exchange for diamonds and Cleo saying that they're really pathetic and "Tango" agreeing xD And Cleo ends up agreeing to an IOU, as long as it doesn't hurt Martyn, and then says it's Ren so that wouldn't be an issue.
- Cleo's conversation with BigB about how they no longer hold a grudge not really was nice. Shortly afterwards Cleo thanking Scott for not killing her since he was boogeyman and Scott says it's not a good idea to go for Cleo or Martyn before episode 6 or so because they hold grudges, it'd be a series-long feud. Cleo says she's relatively ineffectual, Scott: "not to me."
- Cleo doesn't want to kill Bdubs because he's an innocent flower. At another time both of them agree they're from the same cloth – when Cleo points out that them and Scott switched LimLife teams ^^
- Everyone singing to tease Pearl in her emo skin ^^
- The pokéball hospital conversation xD
"Tango"
- "Tango" promising the cabincore boys five diamonds each – next episode ^^ After Etho goes "if you were Tango, you would give me a diamond right now."
- Yes Scar's skin looks great and complimenting him is very normal but the shipper part of me was still delighted when "Tango" immediately told Scar that he was looking very fancy
- Mumbo asking Tango to cut out a specific part (him teasing Pearl awkwardly) and Tango instead repeating that sentence five times in the video xD
- The extended pokéball hospital bit is even better here ^^
- Mumbo apologizing to Tango for the episode and immediately afterwards Etho shows up and asks Tango how it went ^^
- The teasing about the secret Etho revealed and then the constant cuts away xD And then "what Mumbo would say" and the flashing of his subscriber number xD
- Etho setting off the pressure plate and Impulse falling into the hole but not dying ^^
- "Tango" hit the diamonds "right here" but Grian says it's not the same! Tango is shocked! Tango suggests cuddling but Grian says "it's not you"! asdfs
- "Light the way with your hair, Tango" ^^
- And then Tango runs in front of Grian's pickaxe while mining and dies xDDD
Scar
- Grian and Gem clocking Scar as the boogeyman immediately ^^ Grian saying he needs some Etho time, Scar says everyone needs some Etho time and he already rubbed his leather xD (armor)
- Ren: you almost killed me! Scar, the boogeyman: gives him some porkchops >.< ^^
- The sequence of Scott boogey-killing Jimmy – while Jimmy was stuck in a boat, very cold-blooded – and then Joel immediately boogey-killing Scott, and then Etho immediately revenge-killing Joel, was great.
- And after that Scar finally confides in his teammates that he's a boogeyman too!
- Oh noo the only person who died from his trap was Bdubs :( After Etho died because he wasn't careful setting up the trap.
- Scar giving the "lilies" flowers for friendship ^^ and apologizing to Bdubs a few dozen times.
- Scar likes inviting people to the hot tub, like "Tango" and Cleo, and when Grian asks if there's space Scar replies yes in all caps :)
Etho
- Scott suggests Cabineers, Etho suggests Burly Brutes ^^
- Grian is so excited to show Bdubs and Etho that it's the seed of the title screen! And other experiments that they're in the wrong version for
- Bdubs briefly sets the floor on fire and Etho freaks out, "what are you doing, you crazy psycho" ^^
- Of course boats would crash into a lighthouse without lights ^^
- Bdubs suggesting that Scott should have used a catchphrase before killing Jimmy
- Aww, Etho got Gem a saddle, so Gem gives him some redstone.
- Bdubs says their best weapon should be trust. Etho goes to Joel and then considers Skizz and says he can't do it ^^
- Etho keeps asking people to jump into holes.
- Gem calls Etho bro so he calls her missy
- Etho explaining how he makes his thumbnails. Says he's more professional than most people think, and that Bdubs' thumbnails peaked in season 7.
- Grian killing "Tango" while on the other side of the server the boogey man music is playing is crazy timing

#3 The Secret Society
Cleo

- Yeah Cleo knew that was going to happen in that king of the ladder game xD but also wanted to get rid of the target they thought they had on their back with six lives
Etho

- The secret society is very cool.
- Etho and Bdubs having a domestic! Multiple. Etho is so delighted to hear that Bdubs died ("awesome – I don't want him to die but he deserved that today") and to hear Bdubs said he hates the team because then he can accuse him later, and Bdubs says this is like when you talk badly about your wife but really you love your wife, and then later Bdubs trying and succeeding in making Etho jealous by doing pranks with Jimmy instead, aösldkf these two. And Etho specifically told Bdubs not to play the deadly game but that just made Bdubs feel rejected and then later again because Etho didn't involve them, because Etho wasn't allowed to tell them!
- Cabincore is falling apart ;_; they all decide to do teambuilding exercises next time.
Grian
- :D
- The square hole is an entity with a singular purpose, to consume xD and it's so successful because this server is full of dinguses.
- (Grian teased something else for next session, mechanics-wise, that never happened, wonder if we will ever find out what happened.)
Scar
- Etho immediately thinking about fighting Gem, he has an advantage in this new version
- Tango definitely had that "dye mounds" excuse prepared ^^
- His interaction with BigB is so cheerful in his PoV, but I saw a clip of it from BigB's PoV and BigB was terrified xD
- Scar got Bdubs killed accidentally again… Scar is so apologetic for ruining his life again!
- Bdubs getting Scar out of the mines: he's so insulted that Etho planned the fun without them :(
- Scar was accused of the octokill – this is painful because he really would have wanted a multikill last episode ^^
- Etho immediately running off to protect Bdubs from Tango after Bdubs and Jimmy pranked the bread boys. Etho all jealous. You're stealing my boy? How close were you?
- Hot tub conversation: Etho protests he isn’t the glue. Scott complains, Etho says Scott picked the team so he has to deal with it, Scott says he chose Etho ^^ and didn't realize the other two would here too, Etho: you need to just control us a little bit, that's what it comes down to. Scott: as if it's that easy. … Bdubs tells Scott he's a nice uncle, dad's a jerk ^^

Scar
- Cabincore team bonding! It was just a forced lack of communication last time.
- Etho calling Jimmy Bdubs' rebound is amazing. And Bdubs protesting. And Etho calling him that again and saying it didn't mean anything xD
- Omg "Joel" showing up was so awkward xD Scar why did you ask to see neck kisses, what was that! And "Joel" saying he always wanted to do that!
- Scar not killing "Joel" when he had the chance and then being so disappointed in himself
- Building trust with BigB! Scar is trying so hard.
- Scar, Bdubs, and Scott being concerned when Etho runs off with the villains to see his new bedroom at their base and then Bdubs telling them not to worry as long as he is alive because Etho will be loyal to him, aösldkfjs
- Begging Gem for his sword back, promising an alliance, and giving her back the lava bucket he stole from the villains a few minutes earlier
- The return of the "serampulous" bit xDD
- Going to persuade Martyn to let them blow up the pokéball and being confused when Martyn just goes "sure" ^^
- Scar tells Bdubs that he can't kill him again so often! Only to kill him again in his trap! xD Scar feels terrible about it, but Bdubs isn't even mad. Nor Etho either.
- Six kills!! Solo boogey record! Him retreating before telling people it was him, and "Joel" saying Scar is not that talented xD
- Grian is the last person who can reproach Scar about killing more people than he needed to, after last session xD Bdubs saying Scar is just greedy immediately, Grian convinced Scar did the multikill for style points.
- Etho stealing Joel's armor and tools, which everyone then conveniently thought were destroyed in the explosion, and then giving them to his teammates was great
Grian
- Second square hole! Baby square hole!
- Of course he wants to build a bedroom for Etho xD
- Grian talking about the others: "the dinguses" ^^
- He left his diamonds right there!! :D
- I am delighted by the cabincore & villains alliance
- Grian when six people die thinking that's gotta be Tango, and his shocked "what?!" when Etho told him it was Scar ^^
- Makes sense to see Etho and Bdubs be a bit more mad about their deaths here, they forgave Scar very quickly in his PoV.
- Grian seeing the intact pokéball instead of the massive hole and being very confused xD
- Seeing the creeper approach at the arena and kill Scott makes that the funniest death.
Etho
- "Joel"'s shock "Etho! You did do that to me! And I just kissed you on the neck tenderly! That was just so wrong of me to do that." Alskdfjl saying he retracts them, Etho saying Joel neck-kisses everyone and it doesn't mean anything
- Grian's slow "…ha" when Gem tells him about the alliance with Etho and Bdubs
- Gem shows Etho his bedroom and he sets his spawn, and Gem makes him feel bad for thinking it might be a trap
- Etho seeing the arena and telling Cleo it's not their best work xP
#5 The Proposal
Tango
- The boogey deaths were amazing. Anvils, withering, and lightning, very cool.
- What the heck is up with those horses xD
- Oh no!
- What a way to go out. "Careful there are creepers – I saved your life!" – oops xDD
Cleo
- I did not see that proposal by Ren coming xD Ren/Cleo/Martyn/Impulse marriage, apparently? Amazing.
- Scar telling Scott she seems very cabincore and is always welcome at the cabin :D Cleo reminds them of their widows' alliance with Scott, but then says if they would go anywhere it'd probably be to the cabin guys. Scar, Bdubs, and Etho cheer. Bdubs says he's worried how Cleo and Etho would go along, Cleo says she and Etho have worked together quite well. Meanwhile Etho builds a kitchen table, Cleo is horrified and gets flashbacks ^^
- Cleo and Martyn are so aware that the marriage alliance with the Gluten Boys is not the best idea, tactically, but. They both have such a massive weak spot for Ren xD
Etho
- Cabincore all immediately joking about Boogey Scott taking Tango out ^^
- Grian making an almost-accurate guess. Etho: "You're hot." Grian: "I know I'm hot, now tell me what's going on!" xD
- Gem excitedly asking Etho if he's Boogey and if they can kill people, Bdubs: you've done enough with her ^^
- Etho telling Skizz that Scott is boogey because he and Skizz have something special, no wonder his team isn't delighted. "every episode you betray us with some other team."
- Finding Scar while mining, nice!
- Warns Scar that he's been teamed with Bdubs almost every season and doesn't think Bdubs made his own diamond armor once ^^
- …
- Grian making fun of Jimmy's pathetic square hole.
Scar
- Scar immediately takes Bdubs to find a horse and gives him a saddle <3 and the two of them miss Tango's deaths ^^
- Bdubs tells him if everything wasn't forgiven already it is now, and Scar still offers to be his butler.
- Scar going to steal saddles from the villies and being surprised that they're allies so they would have given them to them anyway ^^
- Scar seeing Etho talk to Skizz: "Skizz hates us and Etho doesn't do affirmations."
- Jimmy stealing Scar's horse even though Scar reminded him he burned down the ranch last time that happenes
- Impulse asking Scar if he's boogey, Scar: "the shadow people aren't giving it to me twice, especially after last time."
- Wow Etho was launched by that creeper ^^
- Surprise creeper death! There are so many mobs, also because with the reset every episode the torches disappear…
- Etho saying he told Bdubs to be a little bit rough on Scar, for penance ^^
- The montages of his failed crafting attempts ^^ and the dyslexic Bdubs poem!
- Of course Scar immediately went for the chest at the funeral *facepalm* and then got kicked for flying ^^
- Grian thought nobody would open that chest and the others told him "Scar will open it," of course.
- Scar went for the chest because he thought Tango's bones were in there and he wanted to mock them, of course.
- Scar trolling the wiki mods about kill credit ^^
- Etho about Bdubs' full diamond armor: I need to learn your secrets. Bdubs: It's called stealing! ^^
#6 Fire!
Cleo
- Taking notes a week later, but I don't think that much happened that session, at least not from Cleo's PoV? Cleo did their best to help their red teammate and the other reds get a kill, but Ren is too slow in blowing up the end crystal and instead of Etho it's Cleo who dies.
Scar
- Very nice firewatch tower :)
Etho
#7 - Records are made to be broken
Pearl
- I was spoiled for Ren going out and Pearl going yellow, but not for Pearl going out of the series!! What! I was shocked when she went red but then she died!! Whoa. Shot by Jimmy from a distance at night while she was invisible, wow.
- Poor Pearl, died five times in an episode :( New record. Once because Grian set off Gem's trap, twice because she fell into a pit trap while out exploding (one from Scar and one from Martyn), once in a team kill via Jimmy's Skynet TNT minecart, and then Jimmy again.
Scar
- Scar has his pecs out and is locking in! Love it. Love how often he's mentioning it, too xD He is locking in! Doing so well! He didn't lose a single life and made a fantastic trap that got several people!, and none of them his teammates because he remembered to warn them (well, two of them, and Scott survived.)
Grian
- So much foreshadowing!!
- It did kind of feel like Grian&Gem and Pearl. But not because they didn't care about her, they clearly did, it just kind of, idk, worked out that way? Grian and Gem were very in sync and Pearl not quite. They zigzagged between worrying about her and thinking Scarlet Pearl was invincible, and taking it seriously and not.
- Grian swore to get Jimmy out of the series, we'll see :)
Cleo
- It would have been so funny if Cleo had been Boogey and had killed Bdubs right then ^^
- Cleo reminding Impulse that they got married, Impulse saying they and Ren did, Cleo saying they don't think they did and clarifying that Ren proposed to the team and Martyn said "he's our hubby now" and Cleo isn't sure how to feel about it ^^
- Impulse, Cleo, Scott, and Scar all agreeing that Ren is going to die when he leaves, and Impulse saying he's a free agent looking for offers… and he and Cleo are connected by "our ex-groups being married" ^^ They make a good team.
- Scott joking about Tango not being a good poolboy, Bdubs: "and he wouldn't stop looking at my wife." xD
- Cleo mentions again how they're good with the cabincrew, Scar even invited them, and they always have Widow's Alliance to fall back on. Bdubs is there, with a Crastle callback :) and Cleo and Bdubs commiserating about BigB lying to them ^^
- Cleo after Pearl's third death: "this is like all my day dreams!"
- Very smart of Cleo to coax Martyn inside to avoid the Skynet TNT that triple killed the villies
- Cleo mostly laughs about falling down Scar's trap and says at least now people won't be after them, which, likely true.
- Cleo and Martyn debating whether or not to trap the Rejects' base
- "Martyn is an innocent and has done nothing wrong ever. …He actually hasn't done anything wrong." Sure xD
- "Hey Scott. Do you wanna form a new team?" aösldkjf Scott saying no he quite likes his cabin boys. Cleo asking if he's sure, and Etho punching her and Cleo punching him back ^^
- "So, next week, kill 'em all." "That's the plan, yeah." "Sweet."
Etho
- After being so focused on getting the villies' friendship back this time he's only focused on getting his brewing stand back from the beginning, tells the Rejects they can all agree the Villies are the worst, etc.
- Bdubs says Etho won't stop following him around, Etho says he can't win with Bdubs: Bdubs pouts when Etho leaves him and tells him to get lost when he's by him. Bdubs jokes it's such an abusive relationship. Aösdlks
- Firewatch Tower making fun of people expanding Skynet over the cabin ^^
- Etho doesn't want to talk to anyone today, he's been hurt by the entire server. Scott immediately: "not us," and Etho correcting himself "not you guys." Scar is so sad and immediately asks what could make it better.
- Bdubs getting a deal with the Villies that they'll forgive Etho if he himself kills Etho and then offering it to Etho is insane. What. And Scar saying he needs Etho to win 'cause he's Mr. Minecraft Nostalgia ^^
- Scar said serendipitous correctly xD Well. Once. And Etho immediately writing it in all-caps and spelled wrongly in chat.
- Etho to Bdubs' offer: if Bdubs wants it he has to do it himself, Etho doesn't agree to it and emphasizing he doesn't want it.
- Bdubs saying Etho never has to worry about him, unless he tells him to kill him for a reason and Bdubs agrees with that reason. Etho: skeptical hmms. Bdubs: I'm not BigB. Scar implores them not to kill a teammate ^^
- Etho wishes he was a red name because he would have so much fun… well. Soon, probably.
- Etho laughing about Pearl dying to a trap and dying to the same one a minute later is hilarious. And immediately blaming Scar ^^ and so did Bdubs when he heard.
- Watching the villies team kill from the fire watch tower, nice
- Bdubs saying he's glad to see Etho and Skizz together like this, really makes him happy, somehow not very convincing xD Which makes Etho nervous Bdubs might kill him for an alliance with the Villies, Bdubs makes it clear he hates the Villies and it would only be for Etho's sake, m-hm.
- Talking to Ren: look up or down? ^^
- The less people you know the better! Then you don't get invited to things like weddings and funerals and graduations…
- Another classic Etho eulogy.
- Grian saying he and Gem will get their revenge, Etho: you're gonna kill each other? ^^
- Suggesting to Bdubs that they both go down to red early next episode so they can kill ^^ And then Bdubs again brings up the offer to kill Etho if he wants to be allied to the Villies again, wat.
Bdubs
- BigB claiming Bdubs ate a frog xD
- Visiting the Villies: "Are you saying I'm stupid and unobservant." "…a little bit." Gem xD
- "Bdubs, you've never liked us." "Hm. That’s true. Do you guys like me though?" Bdubs xDD
- Gem saying they can be allies if he keeps Etho on a better leash. Bdubs: "If there's something I can do to punish Etho – which I can do – I'm happy to do it." Pearl says usually that involves killing him. "Is that what you'd like? Would you like me to kill Etho?" "Would you kill Etho?" "That's the quandary of the century." Saying he would if it's good for Etho, too.
- Meeting up with Scott, Scott tells him they can't do that, Bdubs saying Scott can't decide that for him.
- Suggesting holding a funeral for Jimmy while he's still alive ^^
- Removing the blocks beneath Etho, new king of the ladder, keep Etho from going up ^^
- Clarifying he doesn't have a thing for BigB, but a thing with him ^^
- Bdubs saying he wished he died, Etho asks, Scott says he needs them both
#8 - The Finale
Joel
- Yep that was an embarrassing boogey self kill xD Happens.
- Watched this first because it was posted first so I expected Joel to be out – but not Etho going out after falling into the same hole trap twice /o\
- Not seeing the Villies for almost the whole episode, only getting the ominous achievements for them getting the dragon egg and entering a trial chamber, only for Grian to show up like an avenging angel at the end and kill him, very cool.
Scar
- Aösldkfs what an episode.
- How is Scott the boogeyman again! And Scar immediately telling him to walk the plank and helpfully shoving him off ^^
- Etho saying the hot tub will be a bloodbath, yess. And Scott saying that won't be good for his skin ^^
- Scar asking for an alliance with Jimmy to kill Grian because he's wronged them so often in the past in previous seasons (giving examples! Like the cactus ring!), and then going to make an alliance with Grian against Jimmy because Jimmy killed him earlier in the series. Scar <3
- Scar seeing them with dark tired eyes and asking "moon big" ^^
- Etho says he doesn't care about the Villies and his bedroom that much anymore, Scar says he and Bdubs still care that it looked like Etho was abandoning them, asödlkf
- I agree with Bdubs, a Scar dictionary would be fun xD
- Etho saying he keeps falling today, he's not very coordinated – foreshadowing xD
- Scar not knowing what to do because he's not red yet and talking to "chat" about Star Wars xD
- Scar and Bdubs continually mourning "our" Etho ;_; promising to live for him, organizing a funeral (Cleo also mentioning that Ren didn't get a funeral – well technically he might have but then Jimmy blew it up ^^ ), Scott saying Gem's terrible eulogy (she wishes he was better at modern Minecraft) is what Etho would have done, Impulse also says Etho should not have fallen into holes then Etho types in chat to say good words or Martyn will kill him ^^
- A bit later, Scar and Bdubs and Cleo just standing around chatting about Etho and me going all "aww, Clockers"
- Cleo asking Scar to be slaughter buddies and he's so excited. Cleo says once she gets red she'll kill him and he's completely fine with it.
- Scar almost made it out of that pit trap with the ender pearl! He just got excited and jumped on the stalagmite, unfortunate. And one PVP death by Grian after Scar lamented not being allowed to kill yet.
- Scar giving Bdubs a clock because he didn't get one yet this series, and Impulse saying that's a curse ^^
- His red skin is so good!

- Bdubs confessing he played along but couldn't see Skizz outfit because doesn't have the minimal armor pack on. Etho disparaging prop-based comedy, Scar: here's a joke: your face. Etho: that's more like it xD
- Etho asking if Bdubs wants revenge on BigB for lying about him eating frogs, Scar saying both Bdubs and him want BigB dead. So Etho kills him with a lava bucket and an axe :D "He's spreading lies!!" all dramatically.
- Are you kidding me. He stopped before the hole for two seconds and then walked straight into it. Yeah that was a rough death, deaths really ^^
Cleo:
- Etho asking Cleo how she lives like this, Cleo: I don't live like this, this is not my house ^^ "Apparently we've gotten a divorce since the marriage, so that's Fine," since Impulse is now with the Rejects. (How does Cleo keep getting married and divorced.) Impulse promptly shows up and says he's on the fence about joining the Rejects… He says he knows it looks bad but he was just looking for intelligence. Cleo: "Getting intelligence from them requires intelligence on their part." xD Impulse says that'll just make finding out their plans easier, Cleo says they've been through this. And as they're talking Jimmy tries to kill them ^^
- Cleo sighs and admits they stole all his stuff. Impulse says he needs a life vest because he became a bit of a floater. Cleo tells him it's secret girlfriend all over again, it's how it works with him, they have history, the trust is gone! Impulse: I know, I know... But I was doing it for you and Martyn! Aand then Jimmy succeeds in killing both of them.
- Impulse gets killed by Cleo and Martyn's trap and then they both try to team up with the Villies and from this PoV Cleo asking Impulse for forgiveness seems a little more sincere, and I think they mean it but not whole-heartedly.
- Yet another teasing sword swipe at Bdubs, Bdubs saying she could have gotten him, Cleo saying at one point it will be real. Foreshadowing ^^
- Cleo joins Scar and Bdubs for Etho storytime! Immediately saying they have lots to share about Etho: There was a time many years ago when he was a strong and like a Minecraft god, and then there's now xD Bdubs immediately attacks her, of course xD
- Bdubs swinging at Cleo again – that's just their thing now, apparently ^^
- Scar and Cleo both bemoaning how much they want to kill, slaughter buddies, aww ^^ When Grian kills Scar shortly afterwards Jimmy and Bdubs call it straight-up murder despite that.
- Oh so it was Martyn who asked Cleo and Impulse if they just want to go red
- Cleo going after Bdubs for real: "I'm bored Bdubs, entertain me" :D and hitting him so often, getting their first PVP kill, and immediately after: "Love you, Bdubs" ^^
- Scar complaining he can't avenge Bdubs because of the murder buddies pact, Cleo: yay murder buddies though! It's what Bdubs would have wanted.
- Aww, that's an unfortunate final death. But, well, Gem died to the same trap and she made it. And as Cleo said in comments, they'd been at it for four hours. Very good season :D
- A comment mentioned that Martyn kept his promise not to leave Cleo alone, Cleo: "He did, one of the best team mates I've had." Aww.
(- Cleo posted extended cuts of each episode on their patreon throughout, that is worth becoming a patron for at least one month, I will definitely do that eventually.)
Grian
- Starts out with "I'm so angy." ^^ And says they're not sure if it'll be the last session, there's many lives left but once a few people are red it goes really fast.
- Neither Cleo nor Grian get Boogeyman, once again ^^
- Desperately shouting for Gem to show her the trial chamber ^^
- Grian being sad he missed his funeral, and seconds later saying he's glad Etho's dead, he betrayed him and got what he deserved ^^
- That was a beautiful kill on Joel. Grian's laugh after was great too. "It's a full moon, Joel – actually it's not, but you get the idea." xD
- Etho almost got a posthumous kill on Grian with his creeper trap :D Grian was so confused by it, too. That would have been very funny.
- Yeah Scar was basically baiting Grian to attack him ^^ Grian wondering why Scar was indestructible a second before Scar died.
- Grian saying Scar is absolutely going to try and kill Scott right now. And Scar did swing at him once, he just immediately stopped once Scott was sad about it ^^
- Grian and Gem seeing Martyn kill Impulse and Cleo in chat and thinking it was a 1v2 instead of voluntary
- Grian's immediate shocked "oh no" when he sees Scar is out, even though they were on other sides :)

Martyn fell down, Grian thought he died and immediately turned on Gem and knocked her down the hole, and for one second he thought he'd won – only to realize that Martyn was still alive :D cinema

- That laugh after he died xD "I've got some explaining to do to Gem." Gem immediately laying into him and Grian going "I'm sowwee, I'm just a little villain."

Bdubs
- Scar accidentally called Bdubs BigB and Bdubs immediately decided to kill BigB, Etho kills BigB because of the frog-eating lie, and Bdubs specifically says a catch-phrase for others to put in ^^
- Bdubs insisting he needs a moment after Etho died, and Scott already thinking tactically and suggests teaming up with the Villies again, Scar saying they will mourn and move, Bdubs saying they will live forEtho, aösldkf
- Martyn and Cleo's faces just floating in the sky ^^
- Gem is right, "I wish he was better at Minecraft" is a very Etho eulogy xD remembering LimLife Skizz etc.
- Bdubs: I don't know who's gonna take care of me, now that he's gone. He was the one who took care of me. He kept me alive. Öalsdk and Scott immediately promising.
- Scar gives Bdubs a clock and Bdubs: you've just awoken the beast ^^
- Jimmy about BigB: positive, he has traps, negative, he likes to lie sometimes for no reason
- Scar says Etho confessed to him in the hot tub that he chokes on pressure, and Bdubs talks about how he heard his Kleenex box ^^
- Bdubs specifically has a nether portal tucked away so it wouldn't be trapped and then falling into a portal trap anyway ^^
- Impulse gives Bdubs a clock too :)
- BigB and Bdubs finally have a bonding moment, planning to go kill Gem :) and Scar does end up killing her in the "red wave" ^^
- Scar mixes their names up again and Bdubs immediately turns on BigB and kills him, "there can only be one b" xD what's my name!
- Scott sees Martyn kill Impulse and Cleo and immediately realizes it was likely intentional
- Death by Cleo – "not Cleo!" – mostly by Cleo, even, Martyn did 3.5 hearts. And ending on Bdubs saying "it was a good fight," nice.
I watched several videos each week, sometimes more sometimes less, and there's plenty I still want to watch eventually and some I want to watch again. I wanted to go over my notes again too to clean them up and add some more, but if I don't post them now I don't know when it will happen, so here is the first draft. (Which is already at 7k.)
I'm typing this while admiring my shiny new Life series desk mat btw, very pretty.
#1 Early early on
Cleo
- Cleo's strategy: "Panic, die, repeat." ^^
- Love the concept, love the Cleo & Martyn team-up. They're so on the same page! Like when they were trolling BigB about there being a boogeyman (fantastic) and just teasing each other, and deciding to be gremlins. Both of them being invisible and blowing out torches as ghosts was funny.
The meetings with the "villains" was very fun, first complimenting them which gets taken in the worst possible way, then deciding to team up to kill another team which ended up in Grian accidentally killing Martyn and then dying himself, and then Cleo giving Grian back some items and Grian bemoaning that his villain arc starts with incompetence.
Cleo has always been the little voice in Martyn's head, the devil, of course. And "That's my problem, Martyn, I'm always honest." ^^
Cleo invited Ren to join them but Ren declined! I'm not unhappy about that tbh, I like Ren but I think there'd be a lot more focus on Ren&Martyn than Cleo.
I love the Mount Rushmore base ^^
Etho
- Etho is so excited about the old Minecraft version, it's so sweet. He can show off! He knows things! Everyone comes to him for help! There's only room here for simple things like the climb up with gravel trick etc. but it works.
The water tower, Jimmy asking if he'll be okay, Bdubs telling him he'll be fine, Jimmy dies immediately after xD Because one block of water isn't enough in this version. Bdubs says he was going to give a speech about how he's rooting for him this season but not anymore, he can't root for that.
- Etho and Scott just haaaappened to walk by Bdubs and Scar's place while discussing they have no base yet, what a lucky coincidence! Scar is very happy about cabincore boys, his and Etho's talk about manliness was ridiculous, Scar was so enthusiastic that he started coughing ^^
- Etho & Scott & Bdubs & Scar is a strong and fun team. Cabincore boys! Scar and Etho talking about manliness was ridiculous ^^
- Everyone keeps giving him redstone!
- Aww, Joel being so protective of Jimmy.
- PVP duel with Gem! Scar chanting "murder, murder…" It was close but Etho won, nice.
- Building himself a sand golem stand-in to talk to Martyn while invisible ^^
Grian
- First time Grian made plans for his team before the series: he wants the strongest team, so he picks Gem and Pearl
- Immediate failure as villains xD
- Grian is so distraught over not finding diamonds! xD He even leaves Mumbo a voice note asking where he hid them ^^
- Roses argument
- Scar trap
Scar:
- Of course Scar finds a creeper and decides to play with it, just Scar things.
- Finding Grian crouched under an overhang, in front of a lava lake, hiding from the spider on top of it was very funny.
- Of course Scar immediately trades for armor ^^ And luring Etho with snacks xD
- He's so happy about the old-school hot tub! Of course Scott immediately warns it'll be trapped eventually.
Martyn:
- Cleo saying she's not looking for him to die, "you're the only person here with me that makes me not afraid." Aww.
BigB
- Of course BigB is just lying to everyone from the start about his diamonds. But he cut out him falling for Martyn and Cleo lying to him xD
- Cleo said they and Martyn are "team holds a grudge – you should know that," I like that better than Lost Generation.
- Is "Big Bopper" a new Skizz nickname or not?
- Skizz trying to recruit BigB to "the Rejects": we need you to humble yourself, what's not perfect about BigB. BigB: *crickets* that's a tough one… ^^
- BigB asking Cleo not to fish him and immediately afterwards, when they say he's not that tasty, saying he'd be a big catch, Cleo: yeah, 'cause I'd skin you, for your diamond armor. BigB, quietly: "Cleo scares me. Sometimes." ^^
- Bdubs telling BigB he's always welcome with the cabincore guys and then saying it's good BigB is a floater, hmm have a hunch Bdubs didn't mean that ^^
#2 Tango with a mustache
Cleo
- Mumbo! All conversations Cleo had with "Tango" were a delight. "Tango" saying that Cleo has such a threatening aura and Cleo saying they have the fewest kills, Cleo just happens to mention the boogey opportunity, the discussion about if Tango is whingy or crotchety, the hot tub conversation where Scar talks about what Tango tastes like…
- Boogeyman is back!
- Ren asking Cleo what they're offering in exchange for diamonds and Cleo saying that they're really pathetic and "Tango" agreeing xD And Cleo ends up agreeing to an IOU, as long as it doesn't hurt Martyn, and then says it's Ren so that wouldn't be an issue.
- Cleo's conversation with BigB about how they no longer hold a grudge not really was nice. Shortly afterwards Cleo thanking Scott for not killing her since he was boogeyman and Scott says it's not a good idea to go for Cleo or Martyn before episode 6 or so because they hold grudges, it'd be a series-long feud. Cleo says she's relatively ineffectual, Scott: "not to me."
- Cleo doesn't want to kill Bdubs because he's an innocent flower. At another time both of them agree they're from the same cloth – when Cleo points out that them and Scott switched LimLife teams ^^
- Everyone singing to tease Pearl in her emo skin ^^
- The pokéball hospital conversation xD
"Tango"
- "Tango" promising the cabincore boys five diamonds each – next episode ^^ After Etho goes "if you were Tango, you would give me a diamond right now."
- Yes Scar's skin looks great and complimenting him is very normal but the shipper part of me was still delighted when "Tango" immediately told Scar that he was looking very fancy
- Mumbo asking Tango to cut out a specific part (him teasing Pearl awkwardly) and Tango instead repeating that sentence five times in the video xD
- The extended pokéball hospital bit is even better here ^^
- Mumbo apologizing to Tango for the episode and immediately afterwards Etho shows up and asks Tango how it went ^^
- The teasing about the secret Etho revealed and then the constant cuts away xD And then "what Mumbo would say" and the flashing of his subscriber number xD
- Etho setting off the pressure plate and Impulse falling into the hole but not dying ^^
- "Tango" hit the diamonds "right here" but Grian says it's not the same! Tango is shocked! Tango suggests cuddling but Grian says "it's not you"! asdfs
- "Light the way with your hair, Tango" ^^
- And then Tango runs in front of Grian's pickaxe while mining and dies xDDD
Scar
- Grian and Gem clocking Scar as the boogeyman immediately ^^ Grian saying he needs some Etho time, Scar says everyone needs some Etho time and he already rubbed his leather xD (armor)
- Ren: you almost killed me! Scar, the boogeyman: gives him some porkchops >.< ^^
- The sequence of Scott boogey-killing Jimmy – while Jimmy was stuck in a boat, very cold-blooded – and then Joel immediately boogey-killing Scott, and then Etho immediately revenge-killing Joel, was great.
- And after that Scar finally confides in his teammates that he's a boogeyman too!
- Oh noo the only person who died from his trap was Bdubs :( After Etho died because he wasn't careful setting up the trap.
- Scar giving the "lilies" flowers for friendship ^^ and apologizing to Bdubs a few dozen times.
- Scar likes inviting people to the hot tub, like "Tango" and Cleo, and when Grian asks if there's space Scar replies yes in all caps :)
Etho
- Scott suggests Cabineers, Etho suggests Burly Brutes ^^
- Grian is so excited to show Bdubs and Etho that it's the seed of the title screen! And other experiments that they're in the wrong version for
- Bdubs briefly sets the floor on fire and Etho freaks out, "what are you doing, you crazy psycho" ^^

- Bdubs suggesting that Scott should have used a catchphrase before killing Jimmy

Etho is so delighted to hear that Bdubs died ("awesome – I don't want him to die but he deserved that today") and to hear Bdubs said he hates the team because then he can accuse him later, and Bdubs says this is like when you talk badly about your wife but really you love your wife, and then later Bdubs trying and succeeding in making Etho jealous by doing pranks with Jimmy instead, aösldkf these two. And Etho specifically told Bdubs not to play the deadly game but that just made Bdubs feel rejected and then later again because Etho didn't involve them, because Etho wasn't allowed to tell them!
- Cabincore is falling apart ;_; they all decide to do teambuilding exercises next time.
Grian

- The square hole is an entity with a singular purpose, to consume xD and it's so successful because this server is full of dinguses.
- (Grian teased something else for next session, mechanics-wise, that never happened, wonder if we will ever find out what happened.)
Scar
- Etho immediately thinking about fighting Gem, he has an advantage in this new version
- Tango definitely had that "dye mounds" excuse prepared ^^
- His interaction with BigB is so cheerful in his PoV, but I saw a clip of it from BigB's PoV and BigB was terrified xD
- Scar got Bdubs killed accidentally again… Scar is so apologetic for ruining his life again!
- Bdubs getting Scar out of the mines: he's so insulted that Etho planned the fun without them :(
- Scar was accused of the octokill – this is painful because he really would have wanted a multikill last episode ^^
- Etho immediately running off to protect Bdubs from Tango after Bdubs and Jimmy pranked the bread boys. Etho all jealous. You're stealing my boy? How close were you?
- Hot tub conversation: Etho protests he isn’t the glue. Scott complains, Etho says Scott picked the team so he has to deal with it, Scott says he chose Etho ^^ and didn't realize the other two would here too, Etho: you need to just control us a little bit, that's what it comes down to. Scott: as if it's that easy. … Bdubs tells Scott he's a nice uncle, dad's a jerk ^^

Etho
- "Joel"'s shock "Etho! You did do that to me! And I just kissed you on the neck tenderly! That was just so wrong of me to do that." Alskdfjl saying he retracts them, Etho saying Joel neck-kisses everyone and it doesn't mean anything
- Grian's slow "…ha" when Gem tells him about the alliance with Etho and Bdubs
- Gem shows Etho his bedroom and he sets his spawn, and Gem makes him feel bad for thinking it might be a trap
- Etho seeing the arena and telling Cleo it's not their best work xP
#5 The Proposal
Tango
- The boogey deaths were amazing. Anvils, withering, and lightning, very cool.
- What the heck is up with those horses xD

Cleo
- I did not see that proposal by Ren coming xD Ren/Cleo/Martyn/Impulse marriage, apparently? Amazing.
- Scar telling Scott she seems very cabincore and is always welcome at the cabin :D Cleo reminds them of their widows' alliance with Scott, but then says if they would go anywhere it'd probably be to the cabin guys. Scar, Bdubs, and Etho cheer. Bdubs says he's worried how Cleo and Etho would go along, Cleo says she and Etho have worked together quite well. Meanwhile Etho builds a kitchen table, Cleo is horrified and gets flashbacks ^^
- Cleo and Martyn are so aware that the marriage alliance with the Gluten Boys is not the best idea, tactically, but. They both have such a massive weak spot for Ren xD
Etho
- Cabincore all immediately joking about Boogey Scott taking Tango out ^^
- Grian making an almost-accurate guess. Etho: "You're hot." Grian: "I know I'm hot, now tell me what's going on!" xD
- Gem excitedly asking Etho if he's Boogey and if they can kill people, Bdubs: you've done enough with her ^^
- Etho telling Skizz that Scott is boogey because he and Skizz have something special, no wonder his team isn't delighted. "every episode you betray us with some other team."
- Finding Scar while mining, nice!
- Warns Scar that he's been teamed with Bdubs almost every season and doesn't think Bdubs made his own diamond armor once ^^

Scar
- Scar immediately takes Bdubs to find a horse and gives him a saddle <3 and the two of them miss Tango's deaths ^^
- Bdubs tells him if everything wasn't forgiven already it is now, and Scar still offers to be his butler.
- Scar going to steal saddles from the villies and being surprised that they're allies so they would have given them to them anyway ^^
- Scar seeing Etho talk to Skizz: "Skizz hates us and Etho doesn't do affirmations."
- Jimmy stealing Scar's horse even though Scar reminded him he burned down the ranch last time that happenes
- Impulse asking Scar if he's boogey, Scar: "the shadow people aren't giving it to me twice, especially after last time."
- Wow Etho was launched by that creeper ^^
- Surprise creeper death! There are so many mobs, also because with the reset every episode the torches disappear…
- Etho saying he told Bdubs to be a little bit rough on Scar, for penance ^^
- The montages of his failed crafting attempts ^^ and the dyslexic Bdubs poem!
- Of course Scar immediately went for the chest at the funeral *facepalm* and then got kicked for flying ^^
- Grian thought nobody would open that chest and the others told him "Scar will open it," of course.
- Scar went for the chest because he thought Tango's bones were in there and he wanted to mock them, of course.

Cleo
- Taking notes a week later, but I don't think that much happened that session, at least not from Cleo's PoV? Cleo did their best to help their red teammate and the other reds get a kill, but Ren is too slow in blowing up the end crystal and instead of Etho it's Cleo who dies.
Scar
- Very nice firewatch tower :)
Etho
#7 - Records are made to be broken
Pearl
- I was spoiled for Ren going out and Pearl going yellow, but not for Pearl going out of the series!! What! I was shocked when she went red but then she died!! Whoa. Shot by Jimmy from a distance at night while she was invisible, wow.
- Poor Pearl, died five times in an episode :( New record. Once because Grian set off Gem's trap, twice because she fell into a pit trap while out exploding (one from Scar and one from Martyn), once in a team kill via Jimmy's Skynet TNT minecart, and then Jimmy again.
Scar
- Scar has his pecs out and is locking in! Love it. Love how often he's mentioning it, too xD He is locking in! Doing so well! He didn't lose a single life and made a fantastic trap that got several people!, and none of them his teammates because he remembered to warn them (well, two of them, and Scott survived.)
Grian
- So much foreshadowing!!
- It did kind of feel like Grian&Gem and Pearl. But not because they didn't care about her, they clearly did, it just kind of, idk, worked out that way? Grian and Gem were very in sync and Pearl not quite. They zigzagged between worrying about her and thinking Scarlet Pearl was invincible, and taking it seriously and not.
- Grian swore to get Jimmy out of the series, we'll see :)
Cleo
- It would have been so funny if Cleo had been Boogey and had killed Bdubs right then ^^
- Cleo reminding Impulse that they got married, Impulse saying they and Ren did, Cleo saying they don't think they did and clarifying that Ren proposed to the team and Martyn said "he's our hubby now" and Cleo isn't sure how to feel about it ^^
- Impulse, Cleo, Scott, and Scar all agreeing that Ren is going to die when he leaves, and Impulse saying he's a free agent looking for offers… and he and Cleo are connected by "our ex-groups being married" ^^ They make a good team.
- Scott joking about Tango not being a good poolboy, Bdubs: "and he wouldn't stop looking at my wife." xD
- Cleo mentions again how they're good with the cabincrew, Scar even invited them, and they always have Widow's Alliance to fall back on. Bdubs is there, with a Crastle callback :) and Cleo and Bdubs commiserating about BigB lying to them ^^
- Cleo after Pearl's third death: "this is like all my day dreams!"
- Very smart of Cleo to coax Martyn inside to avoid the Skynet TNT that triple killed the villies
- Cleo mostly laughs about falling down Scar's trap and says at least now people won't be after them, which, likely true.
- Cleo and Martyn debating whether or not to trap the Rejects' base
- "Martyn is an innocent and has done nothing wrong ever. …He actually hasn't done anything wrong." Sure xD
- "Hey Scott. Do you wanna form a new team?" aösldkjf Scott saying no he quite likes his cabin boys. Cleo asking if he's sure, and Etho punching her and Cleo punching him back ^^

Etho
- After being so focused on getting the villies' friendship back this time he's only focused on getting his brewing stand back from the beginning, tells the Rejects they can all agree the Villies are the worst, etc.
- Bdubs says Etho won't stop following him around, Etho says he can't win with Bdubs: Bdubs pouts when Etho leaves him and tells him to get lost when he's by him. Bdubs jokes it's such an abusive relationship. Aösdlks
- Firewatch Tower making fun of people expanding Skynet over the cabin ^^
- Etho doesn't want to talk to anyone today, he's been hurt by the entire server. Scott immediately: "not us," and Etho correcting himself "not you guys." Scar is so sad and immediately asks what could make it better.
- Bdubs getting a deal with the Villies that they'll forgive Etho if he himself kills Etho and then offering it to Etho is insane. What. And Scar saying he needs Etho to win 'cause he's Mr. Minecraft Nostalgia ^^
- Scar said serendipitous correctly xD Well. Once. And Etho immediately writing it in all-caps and spelled wrongly in chat.
- Etho to Bdubs' offer: if Bdubs wants it he has to do it himself, Etho doesn't agree to it and emphasizing he doesn't want it.
- Bdubs saying Etho never has to worry about him, unless he tells him to kill him for a reason and Bdubs agrees with that reason. Etho: skeptical hmms. Bdubs: I'm not BigB. Scar implores them not to kill a teammate ^^
- Etho wishes he was a red name because he would have so much fun… well. Soon, probably.
- Etho laughing about Pearl dying to a trap and dying to the same one a minute later is hilarious. And immediately blaming Scar ^^ and so did Bdubs when he heard.
- Watching the villies team kill from the fire watch tower, nice
- Bdubs saying he's glad to see Etho and Skizz together like this, really makes him happy, somehow not very convincing xD Which makes Etho nervous Bdubs might kill him for an alliance with the Villies, Bdubs makes it clear he hates the Villies and it would only be for Etho's sake, m-hm.
- Talking to Ren: look up or down? ^^
- The less people you know the better! Then you don't get invited to things like weddings and funerals and graduations…
- Another classic Etho eulogy.
- Grian saying he and Gem will get their revenge, Etho: you're gonna kill each other? ^^
- Suggesting to Bdubs that they both go down to red early next episode so they can kill ^^ And then Bdubs again brings up the offer to kill Etho if he wants to be allied to the Villies again, wat.
Bdubs
- BigB claiming Bdubs ate a frog xD
- Visiting the Villies: "Are you saying I'm stupid and unobservant." "…a little bit." Gem xD
- "Bdubs, you've never liked us." "Hm. That’s true. Do you guys like me though?" Bdubs xDD
- Gem saying they can be allies if he keeps Etho on a better leash. Bdubs: "If there's something I can do to punish Etho – which I can do – I'm happy to do it." Pearl says usually that involves killing him. "Is that what you'd like? Would you like me to kill Etho?" "Would you kill Etho?" "That's the quandary of the century." Saying he would if it's good for Etho, too.
- Meeting up with Scott, Scott tells him they can't do that, Bdubs saying Scott can't decide that for him.
- Suggesting holding a funeral for Jimmy while he's still alive ^^
- Removing the blocks beneath Etho, new king of the ladder, keep Etho from going up ^^
- Clarifying he doesn't have a thing for BigB, but a thing with him ^^
- Bdubs saying he wished he died, Etho asks, Scott says he needs them both
#8 - The Finale
Joel
- Yep that was an embarrassing boogey self kill xD Happens.
- Watched this first because it was posted first so I expected Joel to be out – but not Etho going out after falling into the same hole trap twice /o\
- Not seeing the Villies for almost the whole episode, only getting the ominous achievements for them getting the dragon egg and entering a trial chamber, only for Grian to show up like an avenging angel at the end and kill him, very cool.
Scar
- Aösldkfs what an episode.
- How is Scott the boogeyman again! And Scar immediately telling him to walk the plank and helpfully shoving him off ^^
- Etho saying the hot tub will be a bloodbath, yess. And Scott saying that won't be good for his skin ^^
- Scar asking for an alliance with Jimmy to kill Grian because he's wronged them so often in the past in previous seasons (giving examples! Like the cactus ring!), and then going to make an alliance with Grian against Jimmy because Jimmy killed him earlier in the series. Scar <3
- Scar seeing them with dark tired eyes and asking "moon big" ^^
- Etho says he doesn't care about the Villies and his bedroom that much anymore, Scar says he and Bdubs still care that it looked like Etho was abandoning them, asödlkf
- I agree with Bdubs, a Scar dictionary would be fun xD
- Etho saying he keeps falling today, he's not very coordinated – foreshadowing xD

- Scar and Bdubs continually mourning "our" Etho ;_; promising to live for him, organizing a funeral (Cleo also mentioning that Ren didn't get a funeral – well technically he might have but then Jimmy blew it up ^^ ), Scott saying Gem's terrible eulogy (she wishes he was better at modern Minecraft) is what Etho would have done, Impulse also says Etho should not have fallen into holes then Etho types in chat to say good words or Martyn will kill him ^^
- A bit later, Scar and Bdubs and Cleo just standing around chatting about Etho and me going all "aww, Clockers"
- Cleo asking Scar to be slaughter buddies and he's so excited. Cleo says once she gets red she'll kill him and he's completely fine with it.
- Scar almost made it out of that pit trap with the ender pearl! He just got excited and jumped on the stalagmite, unfortunate. And one PVP death by Grian after Scar lamented not being allowed to kill yet.
- Scar giving Bdubs a clock because he didn't get one yet this series, and Impulse saying that's a curse ^^
- His red skin is so good!
- His silly raid sing-song xD and he got a nice kill on Gem.
- Bdubs killing BigB so Scar wouldn't mix up their names xD

- Bdubs asking Martyn to take him on a danger trip, lovely. So Martyn takes him and Scar, who asks to come along, to the nether and promptly gets both of them in a nice trap, beautiful
- Aaand from here on I was too glued to the screen to take notes as things were happening. Everyone after Scott! Scott gets away what feels like a million times! Everyone is red and it's Martyn and Jimmy vs Grian & Gem & Scott! Final fight on the square hole! Gem asks Jimmy to team up because the others have won before! Free for all! Martyn vs Grian at the end!
- Martyn wins!!! Go Martyn!
- With three hearts left, even. Close but not terribly close.
- Of the final five, I'm sad Jimmy didn't win but very glad Scott didn't. (And Martyn is probably best equipped to deal with people potentially being weird about there being a repeat winner.)
- I have FEELINGS about Cleo congratulating Martyn in his comments (The only thing I ever wanted, is for my team to win. Martyn, it's been an honour o7) and Martyn replying "This proves that we were correct to be linked in Double Life. Best teamy, no betrayals, no fails! o7"
- (Is this the first time Cleo's teammate won? Depends on if you count Scott in Last Life.)
Scott
- Scott is the boogeyman again!!
- Scott wants a hunger games ending for the cabincore boys, aww.
- Scott telling Grian and Gem they look cute and them protesting they're in mourning ^^

- It does seem like his kill on Scar was entirely accidental, at least. All Cabincore kills on each other were accidents.
- Gem thinks Grian will kill her, hm.
- Gem telling Scott it's allying with her or Jimmy, and Jimmy shouting "choose me!" from the distance xD and Scott saying Jimmy killed Scar but he doesn't want to team with Grian because he hates Skynet. Gem says they're not separatable but she's not up on Skynet. Scott decides to team with Gem and Gem says it's for Pearl.
- Scott invis in the original hot tub: I miss my cabin boys :(
- Scott telling Jim he'd now be quite happy if Jimmy wins, he just hates Skynet. Which, valid.
- Final fight, and then Gem shouting at Grian for killing her and Grian apologizing saying he thought Martyn had died, saying he's just a little villain ^^
- On stream Cleo said that they were not sure before if this was the last session and if not then Mumbo would have had to sub in for Scott in the finale, that would have been hilarious.
Gem
- Grian: "we're pouring out blood for Pearl!" The goal is revenge.
- Is Grian singing "she's watching over me" ^^
- Grian calling Gem Pearl and then saying they occupy the same brain cell in his head xD
- Grian mourning inventory problems, Gem saying she made a bundle, Grian: mimimimimi

Etho:
- Full-naming Bdubs and immediately saying he didn't like that, too formal ^^
- Etho warned Bdubs not to go into the nether…
- Skizz and Etho both told their teams not to kill the other, that alliance did hold interestingly
- Whiny voice "I'm not a nerd :(" ^^
- Bdubs confessing he played along but couldn't see Skizz outfit because doesn't have the minimal armor pack on. Etho disparaging prop-based comedy, Scar: here's a joke: your face. Etho: that's more like it xD
- Etho asking if Bdubs wants revenge on BigB for lying about him eating frogs, Scar saying both Bdubs and him want BigB dead. So Etho kills him with a lava bucket and an axe :D "He's spreading lies!!" all dramatically.
- Are you kidding me. He stopped before the hole for two seconds and then walked straight into it. Yeah that was a rough death, deaths really ^^
Cleo:
- Etho asking Cleo how she lives like this, Cleo: I don't live like this, this is not my house ^^ "Apparently we've gotten a divorce since the marriage, so that's Fine," since Impulse is now with the Rejects. (How does Cleo keep getting married and divorced.) Impulse promptly shows up and says he's on the fence about joining the Rejects… He says he knows it looks bad but he was just looking for intelligence. Cleo: "Getting intelligence from them requires intelligence on their part." xD Impulse says that'll just make finding out their plans easier, Cleo says they've been through this. And as they're talking Jimmy tries to kill them ^^
- Cleo sighs and admits they stole all his stuff. Impulse says he needs a life vest because he became a bit of a floater. Cleo tells him it's secret girlfriend all over again, it's how it works with him, they have history, the trust is gone! Impulse: I know, I know... But I was doing it for you and Martyn! Aand then Jimmy succeeds in killing both of them.
- Impulse gets killed by Cleo and Martyn's trap and then they both try to team up with the Villies and from this PoV Cleo asking Impulse for forgiveness seems a little more sincere, and I think they mean it but not whole-heartedly.
- Yet another teasing sword swipe at Bdubs, Bdubs saying she could have gotten him, Cleo saying at one point it will be real. Foreshadowing ^^
- Cleo joins Scar and Bdubs for Etho storytime! Immediately saying they have lots to share about Etho: There was a time many years ago when he was a strong and like a Minecraft god, and then there's now xD Bdubs immediately attacks her, of course xD
- Bdubs swinging at Cleo again – that's just their thing now, apparently ^^
- Scar and Cleo both bemoaning how much they want to kill, slaughter buddies, aww ^^ When Grian kills Scar shortly afterwards Jimmy and Bdubs call it straight-up murder despite that.
- Oh so it was Martyn who asked Cleo and Impulse if they just want to go red
- Cleo going after Bdubs for real: "I'm bored Bdubs, entertain me" :D and hitting him so often, getting their first PVP kill, and immediately after: "Love you, Bdubs" ^^
- Scar complaining he can't avenge Bdubs because of the murder buddies pact, Cleo: yay murder buddies though! It's what Bdubs would have wanted.
- Aww, that's an unfortunate final death. But, well, Gem died to the same trap and she made it. And as Cleo said in comments, they'd been at it for four hours. Very good season :D
- A comment mentioned that Martyn kept his promise not to leave Cleo alone, Cleo: "He did, one of the best team mates I've had." Aww.
(- Cleo posted extended cuts of each episode on their patreon throughout, that is worth becoming a patron for at least one month, I will definitely do that eventually.)
Grian
- Starts out with "I'm so angy." ^^ And says they're not sure if it'll be the last session, there's many lives left but once a few people are red it goes really fast.
- Neither Cleo nor Grian get Boogeyman, once again ^^
- Desperately shouting for Gem to show her the trial chamber ^^
- Grian being sad he missed his funeral, and seconds later saying he's glad Etho's dead, he betrayed him and got what he deserved ^^
- That was a beautiful kill on Joel. Grian's laugh after was great too. "It's a full moon, Joel – actually it's not, but you get the idea." xD
- Etho almost got a posthumous kill on Grian with his creeper trap :D Grian was so confused by it, too. That would have been very funny.
- Yeah Scar was basically baiting Grian to attack him ^^ Grian wondering why Scar was indestructible a second before Scar died.
- Grian saying Scar is absolutely going to try and kill Scott right now. And Scar did swing at him once, he just immediately stopped once Scott was sad about it ^^
- Grian and Gem seeing Martyn kill Impulse and Cleo in chat and thinking it was a 1v2 instead of voluntary
- Grian's immediate shocked "oh no" when he sees Scar is out, even though they were on other sides :)
- "We really want a Gem win, but as always, I will take the victory. I WILL, I _always_ will take a victory," staring at the camera
- Defending the Skynet use with "Jimmy started it"
- Martyn standing in the middle saying he feels like captain America in the elevator – foreshadowing ^^
- Scar being the first to count in both fight and kill, Cleo being the one to give the go, nice.
- Grian really was completely focused on shooting Jimmy, then Martyn knocked him out of the ring and in the meantime Gem killed Jimmy. Martyn fell down, Grian thought he died and immediately turned on Gem and knocked her down the hole, and for one second he thought he'd won – only to realize that Martyn was still alive :D cinema

Bdubs
- Scar accidentally called Bdubs BigB and Bdubs immediately decided to kill BigB, Etho kills BigB because of the frog-eating lie, and Bdubs specifically says a catch-phrase for others to put in ^^
- Bdubs insisting he needs a moment after Etho died, and Scott already thinking tactically and suggests teaming up with the Villies again, Scar saying they will mourn and move, Bdubs saying they will live forEtho, aösldkf
- Martyn and Cleo's faces just floating in the sky ^^
- Gem is right, "I wish he was better at Minecraft" is a very Etho eulogy xD remembering LimLife Skizz etc.
- Bdubs: I don't know who's gonna take care of me, now that he's gone. He was the one who took care of me. He kept me alive. Öalsdk and Scott immediately promising.
- Scar gives Bdubs a clock and Bdubs: you've just awoken the beast ^^
- Jimmy about BigB: positive, he has traps, negative, he likes to lie sometimes for no reason
- Scar says Etho confessed to him in the hot tub that he chokes on pressure, and Bdubs talks about how he heard his Kleenex box ^^
- Bdubs specifically has a nether portal tucked away so it wouldn't be trapped and then falling into a portal trap anyway ^^

- BigB and Bdubs finally have a bonding moment, planning to go kill Gem :) and Scar does end up killing her in the "red wave" ^^
- Scar mixes their names up again and Bdubs immediately turns on BigB and kills him, "there can only be one b" xD what's my name!
