Recent SGA fanworks I enjoyed

Every once in a while people point out that most SGA fandom classics are years old and that few more recent fics are recced. From my experience this is sadly mostly true, so here, have some recs of recent (from the last few months) fanworks I've enjoyed. (By no means all of them! Just some I could find again on short notice.)

Beyond Strange by mific
John/Rodney, explicit, ~45k, AU
This is a very well created and detailed SF AU. I enjoyed the plot, but especially the characters' relationships with each other. The creepy and the funny elements balance each other out very well, with some great images. It has bug!John for those like me who like that sort of thing.
The accompanying artwork by kazbaby is also very nice.

The Claim of the Pack by issaro
John/Rodney, mature, ~38k, werewolf apocafic
The second part in a series with a third one to follow, which is noticeable in the way the plot is set up. It has some details I'm less fond of (lack of communication, a bit uneven pacing imo), but overall an enjoyable story.

Art for Lost Worlds by anuminis
This is the accompanying artwork for a story that's apparently not finished yet. SGA + dinosaurs, very cool.

Quoting my own comment: This is less overtly dark and depressing than I expected from a Vegas AU apocalypse fic, but instead quietly so and also sad. I really like John's and Nancy's relationship here.

After the Harvest by mific

I'm not sure why I like apocafic, but this is a good one. After the Rapture John and Ronon have to take care of Torren.

John/Elizabeth, PG, 1k
I rarely read John/Elizabeth, but the summary (John has never slept with Elizabeth) intrigued me, and I'm glad it did. This is a take on their mutual attraction that I could see (I don't, not the way I see canon, but I could, if that makes sense), and it's well written and lovely and sad.

A nice short Teyla fic, with some Teyla/Kanaan and Teyla making fun of her teammates, which I always love.
