Wanted: author updates

There should be a site where you can pick your favorite authors and they automatically show you the status of the next work, "unknown" or "currently writing X" or "Y expected to be released in...", and you get a notification when the new work is released. That would be very convenient and practical.

(Have I mentioned recently how much I love the Subscription option on AO3? A lot.)

Vorher fand ich WIPs nur lästig, jetzt mag ich sie sehr gerne, weil es regelmäßig was zum Lesen ist und ich die Vorfreude genieße :)

Yes it is! "New fic" notifications in my inbox give me a feeling of joy every time :)

Are you talking about books? Because goodreads.com has such (most of these) features...

Yes, not everything is available via e-mail but, for example, if you sign up for the newsletter there is a "new releases of authors you've shelved" section and in the "genres" section there is this feature also. And you can always look up how many books of a series are there and shelf them, for example, in a "published in April 2014" shelf or something. :)

Also, I'm still discovering features and I've sign-up almost two years ago. :)
