Teen Wolf 3x23 Insatiable

The things I liked first:
- another banshee, yay! But why does she have to be crazy? :(
- some nice stuff for Coach (though actually attacking the guy with the tazer like this, especially the second time, is extremely dangerous and not cool)
- foreshadowing (I'm convinced that's what it was) with deputy parrish - though WHY does he have to be another white guy
- confirmation that the Allison/Isaac scene was actually them, at least Allison thought about it
- the twins being hurt (so what)
- that the "secret" of the McCall past doesn't make Melissa look like the bad guy and Scott still tells his dad to fuck off
- Stiles post-possession - all of it was great, Melissa being hesitant and Scott being worried and the Stilinski hug and Stiles saying he remembers twisting the sword and doesn't want anybody else to die because of him (AND THEN)
- That Chris is the person Derek goes to for help with the twins
- Lydia stopping cowering before the nogitsune and sending a message to stay away to save her friends
- Kira confronting her mother (with the help of her dad, yay parents)
- the nogitsune taking control of the oni because it looked cool
What I didn't like:
ALLISON DYING FUCK YOU
FUCK YOU
Okay so apparently the actress wanted to leave the show which makes me slightly less inclined to murder the writers but only a tiny little bit because seriously, that death scene? Why kill her at all, why can't she just go somewhere else like Jackson, or even Deucalion? (oh wait: they are white guys.) (Okay admittedly Allison wouldn't leave easily, but that's the writers job, I'm sure they could find something like e.g. moving to a different city because the Hunters' council is there and someone has to keep an eye on them, idk.) Why such a stupid cliché scene, in Scott's arms ffs just so that everyone asks why he doesn't even try to give her the bite (imo it's understandable for Scott but not for the plot), with her last words being about her love for Scott because why, ARGH. No that she was badass & saved Isaac's life seconds before doesn't make up for it.
And also if she's dead what was the whole foreshadowing for, with Allison not being marked by the Oni and Chris' look when he sees the shells - I was so convinced that the "death" is a ploy of some sort by Kate possessing Allison that I only believed it when I looked online afterwards. Just another wasted opportunity.
Allison was SUCH a great character, §"$)%(/!"§ so frustrated.
So after Boyd and Erica this is the point where in my head I completely refuse to go along with canon. Nope. Never happened.

Date: 2014-03-23 12:53 pm (UTC)Also, a death scene is often considered a sign of respect and 'parting gift' for the actor/actress, an oportunity to shine and dominate the scene. In view of Allison's development it also makes sense for her, to die in battle, and to die because she was saving somebody else, so, despite the painfulnes of it all, I'd be okay with this ending. She was an effing great character, who will be missed.

Date: 2014-03-26 06:02 pm (UTC)After I've read a bit more, also interviews and stuff, I'm not as angry anymore. I'm more disappointed about all the plot holes and loose lines and directions that I don't like. I suspect that I thought the death scene was so over the top was because it reminded me of so many similar scenes I saw or read that it threw me out of the scene.
