Today we had a three course meal for our TV evening: veggie sticks with hummus, leftover pizza, and chocolate ice cream with raspberry sauce. Living the luxury life.

Yesterday evening I thought I didn't have time to write a post so I only wanted to jot down a few quick notes, which turned out to be 500 words, and now after three more episodes I have even more feelings. Episode 6 is definitely a better one to stop on than E3. ( Spoilers )

Tomorrow morning we meet with property management of our hopefully future apartment to iron out the details, and then at noon with someone about moving our kitchen, hopefully that all goes well. And then in the evening more Black Sails episodes – we have to finish the show on Thursday because on Friday DD goes on vacation for a week, and I'm definitely not waiting that long ^^

Have more Black Sails thoughts – only a few because I should go to bed soon, but we'll watch more episodes tomorrow and I might forget what I wanted to note about these ones. Not that my thoughts are particularly ordered or deep, but DD is already sleeping. ( 3x01 – 3x05 )

Caps vs. Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup Final! Or, as I enjoy thinking about it, Alex Ovechkin vs. Marc-André Fleury, round 4 (I think.) As every year, I started these playoffs with "if not my team, it would be nice if the Caps could finally win a Cup, Ovi and Backstrom and the fans deserve it," and then after the Pens-Caps playoff series I landed at "I hope the Caps never win a Cup ever." Okay that's an exaggeration, but I don't want to see Tom "it's only an illegal hit to the head if it happens to me" Wilson and TJ "we're playing in honor of our teammate who got suspended for illegal hits to the head" Oshie win it. Sorry Ovi. (I'm aware every team has players like that, but sports fandom isn't rational, and not picking a favorite to win is less fun.) Vegas winning would be a fantastic story, Flower winning would be great, and I bet the victory parade in Vegas would be fun.

More Black Sails: DD and I are completely hooked, and I curse her bedtime discipline. ( Notes with spoilers up to 2x08 )

I was recced "Black Sails" multiple times (most often by rydra_wong) and always thought that I would watch it one day, but it sounded a bit too dark for my current preferences. But DD decided she wants to watch it, so I started watching it with her. We were both told that season 1 is bad (but at least short) and that the show gets a lot better later.

We're now halfway through season 1 and we both like it? I don't think it's bad at all so far. Now we're both very nervous about how the second half of season 1 may screw things up. I already want so many of these characters to succeed but there are so many things that could go very wrong.

A new TAZ:Balance live show was put online, and man I missed these characters. Even though I tend to forget how often they are jerks, and sometimes (like this entire episode) it's just silly, they're also so much fun. My favorite parts of the Dallas show were ( spoilers )
I'm not listening to TAZ:Amnesty yet because in my experience TAZ works better for me when I binge it, but I'm planning to catch up soon.

I'm also not caught up with Critical Role, I'm a few episodes behind (in the middle of 15) because the episodes are long and I don't do as much other stuff where I could easily listen to it in the background and it's (unsurprisingly) not as captivating yet as the finale of a multiple year campaign was, but it has a lot of potential.

I am caught up on "The Bright Sessions", which seems to alternate between really emotional episodes and those that are a bit lighter/quieter. ( 52-54 episode notes )
