Yono and the Celestial Elephants

I finished Yono and the Celestial Elephants and it was great. So cute, and the puzzles were fun, and then sometimes it got unexpectedly deep, and it was just overall a delight to play. I don't want to hype it too much, it's a kid's game and quite slow and not too fancy, but I enjoyed it a lot.
I did not expect for the queen to throw Yono into the dungeons, though possibly I should have. I did enjoy the dungeon puzzles a lot. (There was one puzzle on Wooly Mountain that I couldn't solve, so I went to the playthrough, and all I learned was how to cheat my way past it. Hmpf. Maybe I'll try again later.)
The resolution with Queen Sintharya abdicating as soon as she's confronted by a representative of the Bonewights and Mekani each who make her realize that she doesn't want to be a tyrant and that she never wanted power for power's sake… well, it is a kid's game, I didn't really expect much else. But still, what if she hadn't? (Princess Sundara not sharing her mother's hunger for power is also very convenient…) Definitely putting this on my list of possible Yuletide fandoms ^^
Kai and Sundara also grew up extremely fast – otoh it was in the Elephant Realm, so maybe maybe it was some kind of vision, or boon, idk. I loved Yono meeting Ronin, one of his predecessors, and telling him that he doesn't know what to do and there are all these high expectations; and Ronin reminds him that he's a child, and he'll grow into his role, and he still has time to play. (So did Yono just sort of… form, from a star, or something? Seems the likeliest explanation.)
It took me just over 7.5 hours to finish the main storyline, but there are still several sidequests I can do, and more outfits to try out. Not sure if right now, but I'll probably get around to those eventually :)
