Almost done with SOMA

Almost done with SOMA and I still have many questions… Though I did also get several answers already, and I really like the story being developed/revealed. (I hope after I've finished the game I can find a timeline of events somewhere.)
To be fair I skipped a bunch of optional content in Tau. I was warned by the walkthrough that the monster in Tau was very scary and very difficult, so at first I thought I would just open the door and immediately hide in a nearby room in a dark corner without moving. I tried that and it still twice found me almost immediately and killed me. Clearly trying to hide and evade it would be an exercise in frustration. So I opened the door, made it run after me in a loop, and then just ran through the entire section until I made it out. Very efficient, and way better for my nerves, but I am a little disappointed that I didn't explore any of the other rooms. But I've already decided that I'll probably replay it one day in Safe Mode, and then I'll have all the time I want to explore.
I met the last human alive! And promptly killed her. That was an easier choice than whether or not to kill Diving Suit!Simon because she so clearly wanted to die. Still sad. Even creepier were the corpses lying around nearby in the crew quarters, including the one clearly still animated and likely suffering.
After sending the ARK to Phi I made it to Alpha, the "heart" of the WAU, and the more aware monster we previously met on the Climber asked me to poison the WAU by, basically, feeding it Simon's arm and with it the uncorrupted structure gel from Omicron. I would have liked a little more info about what poisoning the WAU would mean first, but to be fair it was a high pressure situation. (Also, I'm still not entirely sure if/to what extent the WAU is involved with the ARK – at first I thought a lot, but now I suspect I misunderstood and it's actually barely at all, which at least removes some potential complications.)
And then, after being knocked down half a dozen times by some kind of sea monster, I made it to Phi. Just the finale left for tomorrow, I think! Exciting.
