Just add (space)ships

One of my favorite things to do when discovering new fandoms is imagining crossovers. (Especially with spaceships!) Some already exist, that's convenient. Have some Generation Kill crossovers I found and liked, plus two I wish someone would write.
GK/SGA: There's Rock Happy, the long "Brad Colbert goes to Atlantis" fic that I loved even before I saw GK. Admittedly it makes the SGC command at least a hundred percent more competent than in canon.
whizzy wrote a few snippets without that, crack past Sheppard/Colbert, here and Dear Diary. I haven't found "Ray and Vala bond and terrorize the SGC" yet.
GK/Firefly: And then it all went f***ing Stargate is a "Team One Alpha accidentally ends up on Serenity" crossover, and The Sound of Silence is a "Bravo Two are veteran Browncoats" fusion.
ETA: Another fusion, hearts so loud they beat in turn.
GK/Star Wars: such great heights is a fusion snippet in which they are test pilots.
GK/One Piece: They'd be Marines, only on ships! All of them probably received some form of Haki training because it's a HQ ship or something (I'd need to look up how the hierarchies work), only the captain (Encino Man) only got the post because he has powerful abilities and actually is an idiot. I don't think any of the others have abilities, they make do. (Except Griego, that's why he thinks he's better.) Garp trusts Nate to make sure Schwetje doesn't do anything too stupid. Marines in OP are usually cannon fodder, it'd be interesting to see that perspective, maybe in snippets a few months apart, something like that.
GK/Gundam Wing: Oooh yes please! Recon Marines as Gundam pilots! Brad, Ray, Trombley because Trombley with a Gundam would be terrifying, and maybe Espera and Garza. Reporter could play parts of Relena's role xD Or Meesh, or both.
The difficult thing in a longer GW fusion would be figuring out the politics. Probably the colonies would play a more active role, and the Gundams' mission actually was attacking military installations on Earth, with Nate as their contact. (Is he on Earth or in space somewhere?) There'd be much more politics in the colonies that Nate has to deal with. But there also need to be players on Earth... what if Alpha company was an Earth force? And Delta could be another, and Charlie another faction in the colonies with normal mobile suits, and the rest of Bravo could be on-the-ground support for the Gundam pilots. And/or with a lot of OCs. Or something.
