I wasn't sure if I was thinking of the right thing because I most often remember hearing it called post-Trinity fic in the circles I was in - even if it was just the general concept (Shunned By Your Terrible Friends) and not actually dealing with Trinity at all. But I did guess correctly, lol. A lot of fandoms have this, but IIRC SGA might be the only one that built a sort of culture around it. (Well, okay, in MCU the Team Steve/Team Tony thing kinda has that air about it too.)

SGA fandom is the only one that organised a list and gave it a humorous name, but the VIBE was there in The Sentinel fandom, especially post finale fic, as well. (I used to describe why TS fandom was Like That by saying, "Imagine if Trinity was the series finale.")

LOLOLLLLLL, the mind boggles. How did it end, anyway? I watched some of it at the time and was generally aware of it as a fandom phenomenon (I mean, you hardly could avoid it) but I don't think I remember anything that happened in the show beyond the "brought back from the dead through the power of spirit animals or something" episode.

I have seen this exact kind of fic in other fandoms and always found it useful to have a descriptive term.

Lemon chicken fic was kinda the OTT/OOC subset of post-Trinity fic ^^ at least that was how I saw it. I prefer the term lemon chicken fic when applying it to fics in other fandoms because it is less obvious about its specific fandom origins, and more succinct than "Shunned By Your Terrible Friends (Until They Repent And Grovel.)"
For some reason, while I often enjoyed lemon chicken/post-Trinity idfic in SGA fandom, most of the time that same trope in MCU fic annoyed me. Maybe because I more often had the impression that the author really disliked one of the characters, idk.

I also think of it as post-Trinity fic, but even then I mostly avoided it so all I remember is the "lemon" being the word used in the description of the fic, and I don't remember encountering "lemon chicken" before. I was into McShep too.

I think many fandoms have this. SG-1 with Daniel Jackson for example. If you have an ensemble on the show you will get "woobie picked on by friends" fic. Hell, I'm seeing this in FF14 with the main (player) character lol.

Yeah, I think prior to SGA I had never really noticed it all that much, even though it was around, and then SGA making it a big thing started making me notice how much of it there is. I've also seen people in other fandoms calling it "you'll all be sorry!" fic or YABS.

I think the requested tag was "bullying"
